Have they ever given any details about deadlines for returns? I've several tickets from the original date and not everyone is likely to make it now its a Thursday night, but they are still trying to sort it with work.

Article is wrong. They start at 2pm now not 5pm after some feedback from fans earlier today.

I've asked the Club the question.

Is it correct to assume if you have retained the tickets from the first match they are valid and therefore the club is just selling returns and others that weren’t originally sold?

Why are they selling them in stages/priority order when basically there are resales?

I’m sure there is a logical answer to this, but I can’t think what it is

Would help if the club put that on the site but I am 99.9% sure you are right to assume that.

Thanks for the reply. I agree the lack of communication on this has been poor. I was originally going to return the tickets with it being a night match and was waiting for information about the process.

Now it’s such a big game going to take time off work but would just like reassurance that previous tickets valid.

The communication is awful on most things.

I’ve changed 5 to 2 pm for first set of sales, was 5 on the club site initially.

Not heard anything about returns.

I think it’s fair to say previously purchased tickets can be used.

The original tickets are still valid. Anyone with a ticket but can't make the 19th can get a refund from our TO. The Club are going to email everyone who purchased a ticket advising them that they can claim a refund up to a week before the game.

Club website says tickets can be purchased at the ticket office and also gives a cut off date for posting them out.

However, from the ticketing site: “ IMPORTANT - this is a resale for r eturned tickets, this means that tickets may not be sat together. We cannot make any changes to allocated seating. Tickets are to be collected from Villa Park on the day of the match.”

I attempted to buy some within 30 seconds of them coming on and it showed as quantity not available and then sold out.

It briefly reappeared just now but wouldn't let me add any tickets to the basket and is now sold out again.

Club now actually confirmed that Villa tickets sold out.

So they went through all the process of giving sale dates for people with different points only to sell out in a couple of minutes.

And they're now giving people who want to return tickets from the original game another week or so to do this. When presumably any returns will be put back on sale. Crazy!

It beggars belief what goes through these people's minds. Its hardly rocket science to first set a deadline for returns, and then secondly sell the total remaining tickets.

We took the lower tier, so probably around 1800.

I think anyone with a reasonable amount of common sense would have expected them to sort out returns first but I’d assumed, wrongly it seems, that there would at least be a reasonable number of tickets going on sale today.

I'm after up to three adult tickets if anyone is selling.

Maybe this is a separate thread but I don't really understand the allocations stuff. I know the argument is we have to pay for those that are unsold. It just seems like a really odd thing to focus penny-pinching on. Even 1000 unsold tickets at £30 is £30k, which is probably in a similar ballpark to what we pay some of the lads in the squad who rarely play. I dunno. I get the logic but I just think if they take bigger allocations, away tickets are more accessible, more people get into the habit of going, bigger and louder away crowds is good for the team... the downside is to save a few quid? Also unless you already have a massive number of loyalty points, you're locked out of being able to get more by the system. It just all seems a bit weird.

I just think any away game selling out is a clear sign the club didn't take enough tickets. I'm sure Pace would tell me I'm not smart enough to understand this particular business decision though, just like I'm too dumb to understand why a leveraged buyout is great.

For those asking, I returned two tickets on Saturday to the ticket office after enquiring via email. The reply advised me to do this.

Allocation was decided when we were struggling to sell out any game.

And it makes zero business sense to take larger allocations and lose money.

It’s only an issue now given the importance of the game.

The matter of fact is, if we had better away support we’d have bigger allocations.

I know this is a rearranged game so is a different situation. But Spurs has also sold out, no? Before going to general sale, wasn't it?

Our away support has been poor all season. Apart from Brentford and maybe United every game has gone to general sale. Suddenly we win a few and people want to start going again which can't really be blamed on the club.

Even if they sell out after going to general sale that suggests the allocation taken could have been more - I don't know how many games have sold out this season but Leeds definitely did. I know it's a bit of a guessing game trying to work out how many to get, but I just think for the sake of a relatively small amount of cash a larger allocation should typically be taken to make tickets more accessible.

Disappointed but I was a long shot. I had borrowed someone’s 6000pts as I fell into tomorrows bracket and managed to get one in my basket at 2pm. However the persons I’d borrowed hadn’t seemingly bought a season ticket for the 2022-23 season (has one this) and so it wouldn’t allow me to proceed. As I say disappointed but I don’t go to loads of away games and I didn’t buy one originally so it is what it is, no blame on anyone but me (for not having enough pts or commitment 😂)

The requirement is having a ST this season, not next.

A17, E91, Q42, BB5.
How did they find out the seats numbers, as presumably they haven't received them yet?

The requirement is having a ST this season, not next.
I’m quite aware of what it is meant to be. But I can hand on heart tell you that it said in the big red box, despite the account having 8000 points, I couldn’t purchase the ticket due to not having purchased a season ticket for 2022-23 (along the lines of you needed to have purchased a season ticket for 2022-23). When I tried to switch it to my own name in the (I have renewed) to just test the water it said not enough loyalty points (I knew this would be the case but thought I’d try). I’ve absolutely no need to make it up, I didn’t get one and I can live with that, but as I say it said the account (name) I was using needed to have purchased a season ticket for 2022-23 not 2021-22

Just came across a club tweet.
First one says on sale at 2pm (as we know, this was sold out in a moment and posted Sold Out on BFC website).

However, a 2nd tweet states 5 o'clock.

Bizarre!

Does anyone have any information on where you pick your tickets up from Villa Park and if you have to show any ID?

The away Ticket Office is next to the away turnstiles.
