Were We Hasty Sacking The Physio
Our depleted team is dropping like flies through injury. Were we too hasty sacking an established and experienced physio

Re: Were We Hasty Sacking The Physio
Premier League clubs don’t have just one physio.
Re: Were We Hasty Sacking The Physio
Worst thing is we, brought in the First Aider from the offices, on a caretaker basis.

Are you suggesting that it’s our physios fault that we have injuries or that they’re not of a level to get players back and fit?warksclaret wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 5:36 pm..and Premier League clubs have more than two fit strikers all season
Do Leeds have poor physios because they’ve had a raft of injured players throughout the season?

Re: Were We Hasty Sacking The Physio
I don't think that was the case but not sure how a player getting an injury is the physio's faultNonayforever wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 5:10 pmWe may not have had a choice. He may have been loyal to Dyche.

Re: Were We Hasty Sacking The Physio
I am saying when you have your backs to the wall, when you sack 4 coaches, when your PL survival is coming under huge risk, when you have a small and ageing squad, and when you already have a number of players on the treatment table, and others who pick up regular injuries (ie Cornet, Rodriguez and Vydra), do you really sack the key physio
And as for Leeds they may have a number injured but they are not getting rid of physios, particularly the main one

Re: Were We Hasty Sacking The Physio
Might not be true, but definitely funny!
Re: Were We Hasty Sacking The Physio
I don’t think we’d be naive enough to dismiss a physio without having either a suitable replacement or people of sufficient skill / experience already in post.warksclaret wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 7:12 pmI am saying when you have your backs to the wall, when you sack 4 coaches, when your PL survival is coming under huge risk, when you have a small and ageing squad, and when you already have a number of players on the treatment table, and others who pick up regular injuries (ie Cornet, Rodriguez and Vydra), do you really sack the key physio

I certainly don’t think that our injuries, or our ability to get players back fit, have anything whatsoever to do with the previous physio leaving.

Re: Were We Hasty Sacking The Physio
Are you saying that with our current crop of injuries in this critical time of our survival we could not do with an extra pair of hands in our physio team and more significantly 27 years experience-12 with us and 17 with Spurs/Man City. Maybe he could have got Cornet fit enough to start rather than coming on at 66 minutes when we were 3-0 down. And maybe this week he could have focused on TarkowskiDCWat wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 7:28 pmI don’t think we’d be naive enough to dismiss a physio without having either a suitable replacement or people of sufficient skill / experience already in post.

Re: Were We Hasty Sacking The Physio
I doubt there are players on beds in the corridors of Gawthorpe waiting for the physio. I’d guess if we were short staffed now we would just bring another physio in to help.

I’m not sure what you’re suggesting the departed physio could do that those in place now couldn’t!? He wasn’t some God like figure, blessed with magical healing powers.warksclaret wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 10:18 pmAre you saying that with our current crop of injuries in this critical time of our survival we could not do with an extra pair of hands in our physio team and more significantly 27 years experience-12 with us and 17 with Spurs/Man City. If he was that bloody good, why have we had so many “touch and go” absentees during his tenure?

Re: Were We Hasty Sacking The Physio
And maybe this is one of the most ridiculous posts I've seen on here and one that is downright insulting to the experienced Premier League club medical staff we have at Burnley. As for you maybes, maybe you don't have a clue, maybe you are talking out of your arse and maybe you should think before posting such nonsense.warksclaret wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 10:18 pmAre you saying that with our current crop of injuries in this critical time of our survival we could not do with an extra pair of hands in our physio team and more significantly 27 years experience-12 with us and 17 with Spurs/Man City. Re: Were We Hasty Sacking The Physio
Wasn't supposed to be funny, but we've replaced Beattie with a very established senior physio who has worked at elite level. We already have good medical staff headed by the doctor, and I read this on the message board which I find totally unacceptable.Nonayforever wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 10:38 amThat's brilliant CT.

Re: Were We Hasty Sacking The Physio
I'm in complete agreement with you on the medical staff. We are a world class sporting establishment and I have 100 % faith in the treatment any player receives and the competence of the staff.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 10:45 amWasn't supposed to be funny, but we've replaced Beattie with a very established senior physio who has worked at elite level. I do think that when you re- read the post you will see the funny side .
As an aside , do we know why Beattie was released ?

I don’t. He’s still listed as the club physio on the official site but he’s definitely gone.Nonayforever wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 10:57 amI'm in complete agreement with you on the medical staff.
