Help- Tracking down a lad in the CFS

Post by Transpennine » Sun May 08, 2022 12:13 pm

Yesterday at half time in the CFS my contactless card didn't work when buying the ale. I couldn't get a signal to acccess my online banking and was stuck, and in a mild form of panic! A very kind lad behind me in the queue offered to buy the drinks for us, which he did. I gave him my number to send me his details so I could transfer the cash. However, he hasn't sent me his details.

It's a bit of a long shot, but wondered if he posted on here so I could contact him and send him the cash. Some of the crowd in the CFS get a rough deal on here, but this was a cracking gesture

If anyone knows who it is, could they let me know.
Cheers
UTC.

Sorry can't help but what a kind gesture.

Yesterday was a rotten day so it's nice to hear a story like this. Good on the lad.

People can be wonderful.

You can't say good things on here about fans in the CF stand.

Well done to the lad.

Great Gesture, and by the looks of it had no intention of claiming it back off you either, top bloke. Perhaps the best bet is hoping to see him at another game and return the favour.

I'll stand in the same spot at the Newcastle game and hope he recognises me. I'm terrible with faces (especially after 6 pints) so can't really remember what he looks like!

Don't worry I was using someone else's card - it is on A. Nother.

Nice gesture from someone!

Great gesture.

On a side note, they were taking cash (correct change only, I think) in the Bob Lord, yesterday. Has there been a change to the card sales only policy?

It reads: "only be accepting cashless methods of payment" on the match guide.

I know we've all got more important things to worry about today. But just bumping this thread in case the lad sees it.
I'll be in the same spot at the same time to pay him back for the beers.
