I'm actually shuddering at some of the players we may have to play. Yes it isn't a do or die game but on the flip side a draw could out serious pressure on Leeds.

If Long and Stephens are playing, I’d rest any other maybes (Cornet for example) to save them for the last two. I cannot see a way we take a point back from Spurs with those two playing (or, rather, with Cork and Tarky not playing).
If Arsenal win tonight they qualify for the CL and Spurs don't have anything to play for in their last 2 games.
Spurs will also be coming off their hardest week of the season. They looked shattered after the Liverpool game and then they will play in a very intense Derby tonight.

There's a chance.

I think I'd go with that - that still gives you Lennon, Cornet, Barnes and Bardsley as back-up

So much depends on what happens in the Spurs game tonight
I don’t get that chain of thought - lose tonight and they’ll want to put it right, win tonight and they’ll be at it to finish above Arsenal. Either way it’s going to be massively difficult, especially if the absentees list proves to be correct.

I’ll be happy just to get through this game with no further casualties and a half decent performance, even if it doesn’t yield any points.

Having as many available, and fired up as possible, for Villa and Newcastle is what we need.

If we are payed our strongest eleven with all players available we would not get anything at Spurs unless Kane and Son were both out injured

If we are down to the bare bones then might Jackson bring someone like Helm into the squad.I hear he has played very well recently in the U-23 and is a tigerish central midfielder. Jackson will of course know if he is up for the challenge. Surely better than two or three GK's on the bench

Not doubting their intent or desire but since we last played they have put in a tremendous performance at Anfield and have the intensity of the North London derby this evening with only two days recovery time before they play us - for all of the issues we are facing that is bound to take its toll on them too

We must surely be due some luck with injuries-Cornet, Rodriguez, Tarks, Vydra, Cork,Mee. Bar Vydra one or two of these fit for Sunday would be a real boost

Since this season we have drawn at Arsenal and Chelsea, as well as winning at Liverpool and Arsenal last season, how do you come to this conclusion?

Just following up on the footage that has emerged today; believe Tarky, Jay Rod and Jack Cork have been absent from training ahead of Sunday’s trip to Spurs. Will clear everything up with Mike Jackson at tomorrow’s press conference.

Most probably

However this has all come about from the club posting video of them training with the heading “SQUAD SET FOR SEASON RUN-IN” which showed all of Vyds, Jay, Tarky training.

Incidentally, Vydra has now been “removed” from the clip, but the others are still there.

I like that the club are sharing more of the behind the scenes stuff, but at least use up to date content and not something from 3wks ago

Was told early in the week no Tarky, Jay or Vydra at Spurs.

Not heard anything since or more as to when they'll be back.
Will probably be post Spurs now before/if I hear anything else

But Al, the point is the video is just old footage right?

Or is this ANOTHER training video :? .

We will be down to the bones vs Spurs, but we need to give it a real go. Of course we will likely lose, but it's a game of football and anything can happen. Make it hard for them and grow into the game and you never know.

I'm actually slightly less worried about the Spurs game as with any team we can put out I believe we'll struggle to get anything, but we desperately need Tarks and hopefully some of the others back for the final 2 games because we HAVE to get something and with a makeshift defence in particular, plus lightweight midfield we really could be screwed.

We need Tarks fit but unless he's 100% then he shouldn't be rushed and saved for the last 2 games which are we have a far better chance of getting points. Not saying we can go to Spurs and get something but pretty pointless risking him in this game. Hopes he makes it though.

Cork will be involved, Tarky will miss out and J Rod and Mee back out on the grass.

I would think only Cork will be involved tomorrow with J Rod a possible on the bench.

James Tarkowski is set to miss the Premier League trip to Tottenham on Sunday.

The centre back limped off early in the second half against Aston Villa and joins a lengthy Clarets injury list ahead of the final three games of the season. And while boss Mike Jackson said he was waiting on the extent of the injury, he is not expected to play at Spurs having not trained with the group this week.

Sunday is not the game to risk anyone. We need players for the final 2 games. I really hope cork isn’t risked on Sunday, if we lose him for the final 2 it will be a disaster.

fighting a relegation battle in 2022 with Barnes and Long - tells you everything about how poorly we have recruited. They'll give everything as always but i'm not seeing many goals scored or clean sheets unfortunately.

So no Mee, Tarky, Westwood and possibly Cork or Jay in the starting 11

Who's captain?
Brownhill? Pieters is a possibility is he starts

If Tarky is out for the season, as suggested, I think that’s us done sadly.

Hope Jacko changes tack and we go back to parking the bus and praying we can nick some points while Leeds slip up.

The one ray of light was that Leeds looked totally shot after the Chelsea game. Let's hope Brighton & Brentford keep playing as well as they have done recently.

If he has a twinge in his hamstring, its very unlikely he'd be fit anyway

Its taken Jay two weeks to get back to possibly being on the bench

Mee "running" sounds more positive though

He's started 38, we won 6, drew 14. Equivalent 32 points over a season.

We beat West Ham (A), Norwich (A), Watford (H), Stoke (H), Watford (A), Leicester (H).
