Always fly jet2, and always fly early morning... Check the departure board, loads of jet2 flights between 6am and 9am, the pm flights tend to be the second flight of the day for the plane.Top Claret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 4:39 pmFlown with them between 40 and 50 times over the last 5 years and never had a problem with them.
Another thing I like about Ryanair is that there flight times are early morning were Jet 2 are mainly pm
Manchester Airport
Re: Manchester Airport
Re: Manchester Airport
... Just checked there are currently 88 jet2 flights airborne, so plenty of early morning flights.

Re: Manchester Airport
Anyone been through Manchester Airport recently and has all the chaos now subsided?
Haven't seen any reports on the news about it for ages so guessing it has but we've an early morning flight from T1 on Wednesday morning returning late afternoon a week later so just thought I'd check.

Flew in to T2 yesterday late afternoon, flew out of T2 week before. No problems whatsoever. Both with Jet2Vintage Claret wrote: ↑Fri Feb 24, 2023 11:36 amAnyone been through Manchester Airport recently and has all the chaos now subsided?

Re: Manchester Airport
Its a bit better last few times ive been through. The best tip i'd give is pay for fast track security. Takes a lot of the stress out of it.Vintage Claret wrote: ↑Fri Feb 24, 2023 11:36 amAnyone been through Manchester Airport recently and has all the chaos now subsided?

If T3 - Go up as if to the lounge, but then bear left and there's a nice quiet waiting area

Thanks for the replies.
Good shout about the fast track ZC, I just remembered I have a voucher from Holiday Extras with about 20 quid left on it so have part used that to buy 2 fast track tickets at a fiver each

I've been through Manchester 4 times in the last couple of months (terminal 1). Lufthansa bag drop empty and then I think 5 minutes is the longest I've ever had to wait in security. Took longer to get a pint, and the bar was dead.Vintage Claret wrote: ↑Fri Feb 24, 2023 2:34 pmThanks for the replies.

Excuse me Mr Vintage, have you forgot there's a very important match on the turf on Wednesday night?. I'll remind you of this when you're struggling for a Cup Final ticket.

Re: Manchester Airport
I’m actually sat on the plane now at Schipol, it’s much better than a few months ago. The passport control to leave is always poor though, however they are proactive and will take you out of the queue if the departure time is close. I fly at 4.20, they got me out of the queue at 3.40 today.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 1:08 pmMy eldest having a hard time getting to South Korea via Schipol.

Re: Manchester Airport
Came back through T3 in Saturday, no hold ups and tiny queue a passport control.
Re: Manchester Airport
Went through T3 last Friday 11.00am and security was a breeze, about 15-20 mins, would have been even quicker had it not been for the usual idiots leaving bottles and laptops and belts on etc. We didant drop off any bags which i know from experience coming back in to Manchester can lead to long waits..Returned on Monday and no problem through passport control. Ryanair flight not too bad, a bit chaotic in Genoa on return flight with antiquated Airport facilities but not on Manchester side

Re: Manchester Airport
Well, T1 was busy this morning but not chaotic and the queues were well managed.
Definitely worth the £5 for fast track through security as although moving the line was quite long.
Took about 45 mins to get airside overall so not too bad.

Re: Manchester Airport
As per Vintage experience - T1. Went through T1 at midday today. Some long queues backing up into check-in hall. It was fairly slow progress but got through in an hour. 8 out of the 12 security islands were operational.

Re: Manchester Airport
T3 after Saturdays match. Waltzed through after accidentally going down the fast track line. Looked stupid and said to the guy, “oh! do I have to go all the way around”?.
“Nah!, you’re right” being his reply.
Happy day all round.
