Patrick Roberts and Jack Clarke
If Sunderland don’t go up, I’d be seriously looking at those two players to improve on the options out wide, especially if we are in the championship.
Re: Patrick Roberts and Jack Clarke
Patrick Roberts has only proved himself at league one level. He wasn’t up to it when he was on loan at Norwich.

Re: Patrick Roberts and Jack Clarke
Wasn't Roberts touted as a potentially top player when he was at City?
He spent a couple of years on loan at Celtic, followed by several more loans before ending up at Sunderland.
Still only 25yrs old, feels like he's been around a lot longer.

Re: Patrick Roberts and Jack Clarke
I was in attendance at the Sunderland leg of the play off semi and I was impressed with Clarke. He’s got some pace, has a few tricks and can beat a man. However in conversation with a Sunderland fan afterwards he corrected me quite abruptly and said he has no end product and has scored only one goal. Mind you he is looking a bit of a t1t now as he set up the goal that delivered the Mackems to Wembley.
If we are relegated I doubt Burnley would be able to afford him as he is currently on loan from Spurs who paid £8.5 million to Leeds three years ago when he was 19.

Where do I sign for the scouting team?
Re: Patrick Roberts and Jack Clarke
Have we signed him?
Re: Patrick Roberts and Jack Clarke
That's been my impression of him, - quick, flashy and runs into dead ends.ClaretLoup wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 7:07 pm

In 45 league games for a far worse team than ourselves he scored 9 goals and got 11 assists. 20 goal contributions is an impressive number (for comparison, albeit in slightly less games, Zaroury got 6 goals/6 assists and Benson got 12 goals/3 assists). I’d say that’s very good end product personally, and he’s only 22.
