Passed away in a single car crash at 46 years old. 26 tests and 198 ODIs for Australia.
So soon after Warne as well, not really sure what to say other than rest in peace.

This is sad to hear. He was a terrific all rounder and often swung a game against us. And of course, he was great at Lancs. RIP, Simmo!

Terrible news, pretty sure he was born in the UK, or i could be mistaken..rest in peace..another young man taken far too soon.

He was indeed. Some talk of him playing for England at one stage.

That was a shock waking up to that, it's been all over the news here down under. That's 3 great Aussie cricketers this year, Symonds, Shane Warne and Rod Marsh.
