That was a very very valiant effort from the lads today. Went down with passion and battling till the end. Ref absolutely ruined it.

Not a nice result, that will stick in the throat. Spurs we’re professional and saw the game out well.

We were amazing second half. Well done all!

Was that a £20 in Conte’s hand when he congratulated Friend or is it my TV?

All we need now is Leeds to win 1-0 with a dodgy penalty to rub the salt in.

If that was at the other end of the pitch we'd be screaming for a penalty.

Gutting to lose in that manner, and we can take plenty of positives to Villa now, however we do need a massive favour from Brighton now.

2 huge moments decided that match, the pen right on HT, and the Barnes shot which crashed off the post.

But keep playing like that and we can beat both Villa and Newcastle.

Definitely a pen under the laws of the game if they are applied rigorously. Unfortunately refs and VAR are so inconsistent in their enforcement of the laws.
Good effort from the lads throughout, especially as we were missing so many regular squad players.

But it would just have been waved away.

As it was 2 Spurs players, a couple of feet away, vaguely raised a hand - in the way they do, when it goes for a throw off them but they gesture just in case.

I thought we played well today, it was a harsh penalty and I wonder if would have been looked at and given had it been the same situation at the other end of the pitch in the
Spurs box.
It was refreshing to see a change of formation from Jqckson and the team adapted well. I would have liked to have seen Weghorst on at half time. We can still stay up.....cooome on you Clarets.

If that would have been at the other end no Burnley fan would say that’s not a penalty
Barnes with his arm out like a 747 wing is not going to get away with it
Penalty was a right decision

I disagree. I wouldn’t want a penalty for that. It grazed his arm, that was only out because he was pulled off balance. His arm didn’t even change the trajectory of the ball (which was going nowhere either).
