Which team has never been relegated from the top flight of English football?
As we’re all pouring over the relegation zone, a QQ…. Are there any current PL teams that have never been relegated from the top flight of English football?

Technically Arsenal. They've been relegated but only as Woolwich Arsenal, but as the two are the same club with a different name I think it should count as a relegation.

Six have never been relegated from the PL one of which is Everton who should have had a points deduction for poor financial management over the last 3 seasons. The PL stated that instead they would work alongside them as founder members to help them resolve the issues. Lovely.

Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs, Man Utd, Brentford and Brighton have never been relegated from the Premier League.

Question wasn’t PL, it was top flight.
@distotianndave…..l by your logic then, Arsenal have never won the league as Arsenal play at the emirates, not highbury

Slight tangent but... Morecambe have never been relegated. That's over one hundred years without a relegation.

I thought Brentford might have never been in the top flight but they were in division 1 in the 30's. I remember when Wigan were in the Premier league they qualified as never being relegated from the top flight as that was the first time they'd ever been there

Highbury/Emirates has nothing to do with Woolwich Arsenal, that was SOUTH of the river and involved the club moving into a different area… not dissimilar to how Wimbledon became MK Dons.

Re: Which team has never been relegated from the top flight of English football?
Woolwich Arsenal is the very same club, it just moved stadiums and dropped the name of the old one from its name, to become ‘The Arsenal,’ which it is to this day (except everyone drops “the”).
So my logic to you is if you’re not counting them as the same club because they moved stadium, then by the same terms the current club, which plays at the Emirates stadium has never been champions
So my point is, it’s not a technical distinction at all, it is and was the same club. Elwa is therefore also incorrect. Moving from the south of the river to the north of it is irrelevant as it is the same club. MK Dons is not
By this token, ALL current PL clubs have been relegated from the top flight at some point in there history.
Putting Arsenal aside, DA is right……. The one with the greatest longevity would be Brentford, last relegated from the top flight in 1947

Then we agree
All current clubs have been relegated from the top flight at some point
All current clubs have been relegated from the top flight at some point
