Villa game odds

Post by AwayClaret » Mon May 16, 2022 3:53 pm

Villa 1/1
Draw 12/5
Burnley 13/5

A bit surprised by this. Thought after villa beat us t'other week they'd be shorter then that. Is it because villa aren't great exactly great at home or because of our performance at Spurs or both or the bookies know something. :D

It’ll mainly be because they have little to play for. For us it’s a huge game. Tbh the odds are very good for a claret win as I would expect Villa to be longer than around evens, perhaps 11/8 given the significance to us.

I'm remarkably calm, but come Thursday as I get nearer the ground I'll probably be passing a brick through my backside! A couple of pints pre match should make the process easier.

I can’t remember the last time I felt like this about Burnley, probably the play-offs in 2009 but even then I think I was too caught up in the excitement of that season to worry too much. Going through the possible scenarios of this final week is making me feel quite sick, but it’s all I can think about. There must be something seriously wrong with football fans.

I was confident in 2009.

Last time I felt like this was end of the Waddle season.
