I'm glad it's on TV, but I hope my nerves can stand it. I wouldn't be like this if the club hadn't been sold in the way it was.

I’m at Villa Park but if I hadn’t been then I’d be relieved it was on tv. Far, far worse listening to commentary or waiting for updates.Billy Balfour wrote: ↑Mon May 16, 2022 8:35 pmI'm glad it's on TV, but I hope my nerves can stand it. Yeah, that's true. Wish I was there though. Better than shouting at the telly.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon May 16, 2022 8:44 pmI’m at Villa Park but if I hadn’t been then I’d be relieved it was on tv. Far, far worse listening to commentary or waiting for updates.

Listening to commentary is awful for the nerves. Even worse is refreshing the sky sports score centre app.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon May 16, 2022 8:44 pmI’m at Villa Park but if I hadn’t been then I’d be relieved it was on tv. Far, far worse listening to commentary or waiting for updates.

I'm saving the ale for Sunday evening. I've also got Monday off.
Re: ARTICLE: Villa game to be shown live on Sky
Oh I will be getting some Ale on Sunday but in the Pub not watching telly (my M8 Kevin and I have a bet on about relegation ... Leeds drop I buy his Ale, Burnley drop he buys my Ale, Everton we just get Bladdered )Billy Balfour wrote: ↑Mon May 16, 2022 9:06 pmI'm saving the ale for Sunday evening. I've also got Monday off.

Excellent. I'd like to have gone but wouldn't due to it being a Thursday night.
At least I'll be getting something from my sky subs

You still have to do that, even when there is full match commentary. Some commentators, not just local radio either, are quite happy to comment on what's just happened without telling you what it was. I genuinely think they don't realise that radio commentary is different from TV commentary.

Lady Godiva was where we met pre season in 2016 and they had live sports set up. They should have Sky.claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 9:19 amDoes anyone know of any places where I can watch this in Geneva?
I don’t know for sure but that’s worth checking but I’m confident they’ll show it if you ask.

Just looked at their website, I think I should be ok there. There’s another place called Mr Pickwicks that might show it too
Re: ARTICLE: Villa game to be shown live on Sky
I can't believe the timing on this. I have to be at Manchester airport for 03:30 on Friday so, originally, was planning to go to bed at 8ish. I obviously can't do that now, but I'll be doo elated/deflated to sleep afterwards. Batting through and travelling with a 2 and 4 year old at that time is not very appealing either.
What would my fellow clarets do?

Let them fend for themselves. They're old enough.Fretters wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 12:23 pmI can't believe the timing on this. I hope she was fully clothed when you met her, was she on holiday?
Re: ARTICLE: Villa game to be shown live on Sky
If she isn't fully clothed when she's riding down Coventry main street, she isn't going to be fully clothed on the shores of Lake Geneva.THEWELLERNUT70 wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 1:51 pmI hope she was fully clothed when you met her, was she on holiday?

I'm going to the game but definitely recording it to watch when I get back home. Unless we get beat then I'll be deleting it straight away.
