Not involved at all tonight, guess he has an injury but can't see anything about it.

Most Toon fans say that although he hasn't scored much, he has played a big part in build up play.

Hope he's not involved at the weekend either, you just know he'll bag if he plays.

Was he like that at Leeds and Leicester then?

I’m being harsh…. This season for us he was shockingly disinterested, but prior to that he was quite good for us. Play to his strengths and he will do a job for you…. Don’t and you might as well start with ten men.

Considering they've reached safety they would say that. If they were still in relegation trouble I guess their attitude might be different.

Maybe but he might have been part of the reason that they are not?

Wood is not exactly that good is he. Was just a lump to it merchant for a dychnasaur of an ex manager.

My worst football nightmare this season is, of course, us going down but having that club putting us to the sword with Howe at the helm and Wood scoring would be just too bloody much.

Is it better for us if Newcastle win tonight?

Make it more imperative that they beat Everton on the last game of the season?

No. They’re only 1 point ahead if they win tonight. If they lose, Spurs play Norwich last day so it’s basically over for them.

ASM like a concrete-covered tank when he's running at defences.

Gotta stop him.

So if arsenal win or lose they have to beat Everton also.

I was thinking that if they lost then a draw wouldn’t be enough on the last day in case the unexpected happened and Norwich somehow held them

2 reasons come to mind. Wilson fit and now needs some time on the pitch. Also, I don't think Chris Wood would wish to score and send us down. His mates are all Clarets and he played a big chunk for us.

Mr Howe replaces in one match and retains team for next time. Sorted.

Watching Newcastle tonight was scary. We are going to struggle with our depleted defence.

If we can stop Bruno Guimaraes from playing we may just stand a chance. Joelinton and Wilson were fairly unplayable tonight too mind. Their defence and keeper can be a bit iffy though, especially as they're missing a few. Get at them (Arsenal didn't).

I had a dream (nightmare) about Sunday. We were winning 1-0 in the last few minutes, Wood equalised, and was flagged for offside. Then VAR took a look and he was adjudged onside. Even for a dream, that's shocking irony.
