I hear Austin on the radio semi regularly, I wouldn't be surprised to see him try to make a move in that direction when he retires.

Scary that it's been 13 years since we signed Fletcher.

We’ve had some great strikers over the years but I honestly thought Austin was destined for bigger things. For whatever reason it hasn’t happened.

Would be great to see Sam Vokes back in the championship.

Injuries for Austin have got the better of him I’d say. There was the season in the Prem where he scored 17/18 goals and there was even suggestions United should get him as a goal scoring option.

The truth is, his knees were knackered from day one of his career.

If he'd been injury free I think he'd have had at least a handful of profitable years in the top flight. He was a great, classic no.9 for us. I'll never forget the header he scored from the edge of the box.

Thought Vokes was older when he left us. Glad to see he's doing well again!

Right up there as one of the very few natural goalscorers I've seen at Burnley, but he's scored just 39 league goals in the last six and a half years since QPR did a good deal and sold him. Only 86 league starts in that time plus another 79 sub appearances. QPR took the gamble that Hull wouldn't with his knees and they got two and a half good years, two and a half outstanding years, out of him.

I wonder what will happen to Andre Gray? Return to Watford? There's still a decent Championship striker in there, I reckon.

Three good players for us.

Edit - Vokes was a bit better than just "good". Unbelievable that some clowns called him the White Iwelumo.

QPR fans might not agree with you. Warburton had managed him before at Brentford but he’s not the goalscorer he was.

I thought he looked decent when I saw him play at Derby - that's one game, granted!
