Villa injury news
Konza out for 12 weeks, Emi Martinez to miss the game Tomorrow so Robin Olsen likely to make his debut in goals.
Gerrard also said he doubts the team will be the same for both upcoming games, I wonder which one he prioritizes

Re: Villa injury news
Nevermind about the Martinez news....
''Villa have just two fit centre-backs to call upon. Gerrard is, though, expecting Martinez to shake off the issue he sustained earlier to start vs Burnley''

Re: Villa injury news
I hope we score after 30 seconds and then Pope takes 1 minute per goal kick from there on !

Re: Villa injury news
If he has any sense he will prioritise the game against us because his season is delicately poised between meh and progress, and 3 points will make a big difference. I doubt Villa will do much against City.
On the other hand, he might fancy himself a Liverpool legend... who knows

Re: Villa injury news
The trouble is, a weakened team for them is Buendia playing not Coutinho.
I won’t be relaxing until 10pm tomorrow that’s for sure.

Sounds promising - Konsa is class and is a miss for them for sure.

Re: Villa injury news
Definitely their best defender. I think Hause might be injured too so it’ll be Chambers and Mings, definitely there to be got at.jedi_master wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 3:56 pmSounds promising - Konsa is class and is a miss for them for sure.
Re: Villa injury news
Thought Chambers was a very astute signing for them - one who would have worked for us
Played very well in cm in our last game against them
McGinn is the one I always fear

Re: Villa injury news
They played like their lives depended on it at Burnley. Just hope they are focusing on City. I am more worried about who will be fit for us than them !!!
Re: Villa injury news
Villa have not done the Doyle over us since 1925-26 season. Let’s keep it that way. Villa won the home game 10-0 that season !!!

Certainly from an attacking perspective they have real options and quality, both the aforementioned can create something out of nothing.CrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 3:55 pmThe trouble is, a weakened team for them is Buendia playing not Coutinho.

I’m dreading tomorrow after the home thrashing, so nervous, but obviously good news Konsa is out.

It'll be a hell of a tough game, no matter who plays for them.

I won't be relaxing until probably Monday at the earliest. I'll be nervous as hell until our game Sunday and then either celebrating or sulking until I go to bed.CrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 3:55 pmThe trouble is, a weakened team for them is Buendia playing not Coutinho.

I regard this as good news for us because his blatant time wasting disrupted our flow

I’m feeling quite chilled about it all… stay up, great - another season in the Prem; go down, some cracking fixtures in the Championship next season including those down the road

Don't know if you know but we are on a bit of a financial precipice, nice fixtures yes. Financial danger also. Survival is absolutely paramount as far as I can see.

So timewaster-in -chief may be out?
I wonder if the reserve keeper has been raised in the dark arts also.

It’s been worse, much worse before. Enjoy the ride. It’s not like we can influence anything anyway (apart from the atmosphere in Turf)mybloodisclaret wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 9:36 pmDon't know if you know but we are on a bit of a financial precipice, nice fixtures yes. Re: Villa injury news
Down to us, simple. No point us fans stressing, we are not pulling on the shirt ! We can back the players and make them feel proud to wear our shirt though. Those of us who are fortunate to be at Villa Park can make it another memorable night following Burnley. You know the script Clarets . UTC

Re: Villa injury news
plenty of stories knocking about that if City win the PL they owe an extra 15 million for Grealish (one of the clauses)
