Traffic headsup tomorrow

Post by Funkydrummer » Sat May 21, 2022 4:28 pm

Just a word to the wise, there are roadworks, yet again, at the Accy Road/Rossy Road junction. So if you normally use J9 on the M65 you might want to make allowances or avoid. Probably not too bad coming in, being a Sunday, but going home could possibly be a problem.

Goodness knows what on earth they've found to do there now. It seems endless.

Anyway, good luck to whoever and here's to a cracking afternoon.

Belvedere Road will be closed from 3-7pm so as to make it inconvenient for home fans

There's also a lane reduction on Glen View Road right at the junction with Manchester Road at the lights. Will be an issue after the match.

The covid testing site that was occupying most of car park opposite the bus station has now been removed; which will allow more matchday parking, so I expect Centenary Way to return to the usual queues after games.

The car park down the side of McDonald's shuts at the stupidest of times.

Bosscat, we can probably get in before 3:00 but I can’t see them not allowing Tennis Club members to go in and out so we should be okay coming away. Shall we risk it?

Free parking on public car parks in Burnley on Sundays. Public car parks mind, not the TK max car park.

Anybody coming from Nelson way there are temporary traffic lights on Higher Reedley Road causing long queues at busy times.
