No refund policy
If I've paid a company in full for the value of the goods I want, but I am yet to receive those goods, am I fine to cancel the order for those goods and get full reimbursement, regardless of the policy of the company from which I've bought said goods? Or have I entered a contract from which there is no escape?

Re: No refund policy
You'll probably be unsurprised to learn, there is no straight answer to this, but your immediate recourse should be the terms of the purchase you have made with the person / company from whom you have bought the goods.
I would say you don't have an automatic right to a full refund by statute though, based on the information you have provided thus far.

Re: No refund policy
Was there a delivery promise, which has failed or more than 28 days, if not?
That might enable your credit card company to reverse the transaction.

I am indeed unsurprised to learn, but I did think that if person A has paid for object B, and that Person A has not received object B, then person A could expect full remuneration for monies pertaining to object B.Cheshireclaret wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 11:56 pmYou'll probably be unsurprised to learn, there is no straight answer to this, but your immediate recourse should be the terms of the purchase you have made with the person / company from whom you have bought the goods.

Not if it is simply a case of you having changed your mind, especially in the case of bespoke items. Again, it depends what the item is and who the retailer is and what the terms of the contract are. As pointed out above, if the retailer has not fulfilled the terms of the contract i.e. they have not delivered said item within a reasonable or agreed timescale, then you may have some recourse, but a change of mind will leave you bound by the terms of the purchase and at the behest of the retailer individual.distortiondave wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 12:08 amI am indeed unsurprised to learn, but I did think that if person A has paid for object B, and that Person A has not received object B, then person A could expect full remuneration for monies pertaining to object B.

Big unreasonable time frame. 18 months or more. During which they've been paid in full!

Re: No refund policy
That would suggest you will have a case then but it still depends on the terms of the contract and what promises they made. Without any more detail, it is difficult to advise you any further, but I would certainly call Visa for example, if you paid with a Credit or Debit card with their name on.distortiondave wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 12:22 amBig unreasonable time frame. 18 months or more. Re: No refund policy
If the contract doesn't specify when the goods are to be delivered, then any decision-making tribunal would have to decide what was reasonable and also what was promised at the time. As for whether you would get your money back, there are other considerations beside strict legal liability!

the only reason I may have changed my mind is because of the time it's taking, not because of who or what delivers whatever it may be !Cheshireclaret wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 12:12 amNot if it is simply a case of you having changed your mind, especially in the case of bespoke items. You are going to have to give us more!distortiondave wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 12:22 amBig unreasonable time frame. 18 months or more. During which they've been paid in full!
E.g. Has the said company incurred expenses as part of this contract?
Did you sign up to additional t and c on placing your order?
Have you had some of the product? Eg 18 of the 19 matches on a season ticket?
On a holiday for example.....has your contract prevented the company from selling the product to somebody else?
We need more info.

Re: No refund policy
Just look up the consumers rights act 2015.
If you don’t want to say what the item is on here the only other direction I could give you is lol to see if you have legal
cover on you car/home insurance. If you do- they should give you a better idea of your rights.
