Pace or lack of it could be the key
Whatever league we are in next season, we’ve got to get some pace in our side.

I don’t get this - what else do you expect from a professional Premier League manager?

Strong Brentford line-up, and crucially no Bamford for Leeds, he doesn't even make the bench.

I don’t really, it was more tongue in cheek.

There’s a fair possibility it’s his last game as manager of Newcastle too.

Weird how some posters think Newcastle should simply roll over for us today, they have positions to play for, not to mention professional pride at stake, so naturally they'll put out a strong side, it's up to us to do our job and earn our PL place for next season.

And note try not to concede any daft free kicks within 30 yards of our goal, Tripps is normally lethal at that range.

Interesting one with Tripps on fks. I think he scored 1 during his time with us, if that? Can’t even remember him being the main fk taker, I don’t think he was.

I assumed he meant with his crossing quality.

Not Burnley team news but seems like Leeds are without Bamford after all. They were hoping he might be back for today but he has covid.

Update on Bamford he has Covid, wouldn't wish him ill. but you do wonder if the gods are smiling on us for once, even as an option from the bench he'd have provided Leeds with a threat.

Can't recall that far back, but he's certainly banged a few in recently since his WC semi-final strike, and as much as we all rate Pope, I'd rather he wasn't called into action overly much this afternoon.

Not many in just yet, 2.20, but a big cheers for the team led out a sprinting Tarky.
Think they might be up for it!
