How many players out of contract?
65 million debt to pay
Cornet with a release clause.
It's all looking rosie in the Turf Moor garden.

Collins hand ball and Brentford player being sent off for a celebration? You couldn't make it up.
We had a job to do today and failed. Just didn't have the quality to win.

Re: Burnley v Toon match thread (judgement day)
Some absolute twaddle being spouted on this thread, we've been relegated because we've not been good enough, and no excuses about officials can disguise that fact, poor though they may have been over the course of the season.
Big summer at TM now, and whoever steps in has got a hell of a rebuilding job on their hands, but that's for the future.

Re: Burnley v Toon match thread (judgement day)
Nonsense. It was a lack of investment, an awful technical Director, poor recruitment over multiple seasons, a move to more open and expressive football at the start of this season and chasing after players that didn't suit Dyche and the successful way he had us set up to play.
Awful recruitment, tactical ineptitude, new owners with no money and a high school coach as a football advisor are what led to out downfall.
Along with an unbelievable hand ball and two bizarre substitutions today.
Re: Burnley v Toon match thread (judgement day)
Nah, Dyche has got us relegated. His **** poor squad building and Stone Age anti football has caught up with us.
Re: Burnley v Toon match thread (judgement day)
Feel sorry for MJ and Collins who made a crucial error.

Re: Burnley v Toon match thread (judgement day)
Yep and no-one forced our forwards to miss sitters from a couple of yards out, or put a penalty wide of the post, you can go on and on, but simply we haven't been good enough, as only 7 league wins demonstrates.CombatClaret wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 5:57 pmNoone made Collin's punch the ball. Awful tactics today, same system and tactics as Spurs away? we were at home and needed to win, 5 in defence and hoof it was never gonna work.

Re: Burnley v Toon match thread (judgement day)
No use blaming officials, other teams etc etc, over the season, we’ve not been good enough.
Despite the disappointment, I will still support the Clarets from afar although I won’t miss getting up in this middle of the night to watch some games.
Hopefully it will be an interesting and maybe exiting summer…new manager, new back room staff, new players although it will be sad to see the likes of Pope and Tarks move on.
Despite relegation, I still have pride in the Clarets
