Eddie
"Absolutely devastated" for us.
Re: Eddie
I’m sure he is upset for us, he clearly holds some affection for Burnley still. Unfortunately for some of our more romantic fans, however, he gets paid to win Newcastle United football matches.

Re: Eddie
Well we didn't get relegated because of Eddie, we got relegated because we've been really really crap for 2 seasons and this year was pretty laughable in some games.

His number 2 gave us a huge fist pump of enjoyment at the end to the Bob lord, I’d pay good money to iron him out

Re: Eddie
He (howe) must ******* hate us because Newcastle clearly relished sending us down. The timewasting and gamesmanship from goingni front really surprised me

Tindall acted like a pest all through the match. I was surprised how much Newcastle wanted to win and waste time and dive. They were really up for it and I’m afraid our first half performance was nervous mistake ridden and poor.

Re: Eddie
Watching the post match interview he didn't sound very sincere to me !
Probably laughing inside as Burnley were a bit of a bogey team for him when he managed Bournemouth...

Shocking. Man doing job he's expected to lose takes pleasure in doing his job well and trying to keep it

I have no idea why but he's well hard to like, and he always has been, even when he was here.

Re: Eddie
Interesting that Claret Tony couldn’t bring himself to even reference the name of the Newcastle manager in his pre-match preview on here. Agenda ? much.
Done a great job at Newcatle.Entirely unsurprising.

Re: Eddie
And and what about the colossal amounts of money given to Dyche over the past three years. Howe spent more at Bournemouth and got them relegated. Hes lucky to have got the Newcastle job given his record.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 7:00 pmWell we didn't get relegated because of Eddie, we got relegated because we've been really really crap for 2 seasons and this year was pretty laughable in some games.

I can understand some of the resentment from you towards Sean Dyche but as a Burnley fan you can’t seriously hold Eddie Howe in a higher regard than him?SkiptonClaret wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 10:28 pmInteresting that Claret Tony couldn’t bring himself to even reference the name of the Newcastle manager in his pre-match preview on here. He does it quite a lot. I think it's what's known as a typing error, rather than a deliberate choice to omit Howe's name.SkiptonClaret wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 10:28 pmInteresting that Claret Tony couldn’t bring himself to even reference the name of the Newcastle manager in his pre-match preview on here. Re: Eddie
One thing people need to understand about managing a football club:
It's not about the money you are given, it's not entirely about the players you buy,
it's down to how you manage them.
Witness the Man Utd spend.
Eddie Howe has done well at Newcastle, some people just need to accept it.

But he was the epitome of ‘meh’ when he managed us.

Re: Eddie
Did the dirty on us by triggering the Chris Wood release clause advised to him from a mysterious source to weaken what was then a relegation rival and has ultimately proved very telling. A man not to be trusted and as bigger names arrive at Newcastle prior to next season he will not be able to handle big egos. Gone by Christmas. For a man who found it difficult to work and settle in the North he appears to have more faces than the town hall clock.

Re: Eddie
Done very well since having a break from the game studying Simeone’s defensive style as his teams usually couldn’t defend for toffee.
Done the dirty on us but you can’t say he is a bad manager. He’s very good at scouting players too or has the team in the background to find them.

Re: Eddie
You can’t genuinely be angry at him giving us £25 million for Wood? Way he’s played this season we robbed them. Depending on their signings in the summer, we might be able to get him on loan.matucana wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 12:47 amDid the dirty on us by triggering the Chris Wood release clause advised to him from a mysterious source to weaken what was then a relegation rival and has ultimately proved very telling.
