Call Sean
Alan Pace needs to contact Sean Dyche this morning, apologise and give the best manager in our clubs history the opportunity to get us promotion first time of asking before someone else snaps him up. Swallow your pride Alan for the sake of our great club.
Re: Call Sean
Give it a rest. Sean is the reason we have been relegated and can’t score. He’s a busted flush. Let him
Go elsewhere and impart his negative football on them.

Re: Call Sean
i think we scored 70 odd goals in the championship last time we were there and got 93 points. that's not negative.

Re: Call Sean
He should have contacted him with his P45 about three or four months before he did and given him the bullet then.
Then we might have had a chance.
We were only going one way with SD, and would probably have been relegated about a month ago had we stuck with him.

Re: Call Sean
Give it a rest and move on, Sean did great, but the time was right for him to go, and really he probably should have gone sooner, and his main legacy is leaving an ageing squad with little resale value, that's one of his big failings for me, in spite of all the success he brought throughout his tenure.
New manager and hopefully a younger more exciting squad next season, even if that means promoting some of the development squad, surely they can play a part at Championship level can't they.

Re: Call Sean
In hindsight Dyche should have been potted a couple of seasons back when Garlick was at the helm and Moyes was sat in the directors box sniffing for his job, pre West Ham

I will always respect Dyche and appreciate what we achieved together. But just 3 home wins under Dyche since January 2021 is a serious shocker.

Re: Call Sean
all you guys wanted a change of ownership and also a change of manager. look where that has got us. you will never learn
Re: Call Sean
The change in manager gave us the best possible chance of staying up you clown. We were dead and buried under Dyche.pushpinpussy wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 12:08 pmall you guys wanted a change of ownership and also a change of manager. look where that has got us. you will never learn

You thought it was healthy and likely to succeed with a manager and chairman who could no longer stand to be in the same building as each other?pushpinpussy wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 12:08 pmall you guys wanted a change of ownership and also a change of manager. look where that has got us. you will never learn
The mistake in hindsight was not moving both on. By the time SD signed that contract the enthusiasm of him staying had wained significantly as it was already clear he had not corrected the failings of the season before; and it was always going to be an season of trying to hang on. In the end he even failed to do that. Great manager for us, became stale and predictable.
I said about week three we were being targeted on our left… low and behold we still hadn’t addressed it against Newcastle. You cannot hope to achieve in elite sport with a soft underbelly, ours was written in neon for EVERY manager to take advantage of.

Re: Call Sean
If he’d have been sacked after Watford we might not have ended up in this position. Can’t fault everything he did in his time at the club but both sides need to just move on.

Re: Call Sean
He could only get so much blood out of a stone. No way he would come back now and I would not blame him.
Re: Call Sean
If any club anywhere was in a bit of a pickle but really felt they could get up, given the right leadership, then the name Sean Dyche would be at the very top of their list.
We should be the same.

Re: Call Sean
Should he ring Owen Coyle too ? He once got us promoted. Things change. People’s performance can change. Forward moving businesses embrace change too.pushpinpussy wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 9:52 amAlan Pace needs to contact Sean Dyche this morning, apologise and give the best manager in our clubs history the opportunity to get us promotion first time of asking before someone else snaps him up. I don't think many fans would be willing to watch Dycheball again.

Re: Call Sean
Under SD I think we would have been relegated 3 weeks ago-why are so many people out of touch
Points per game this season SD 0.77 points ; MJ 1.57 points. Arguably MJ had more injuries during his 7 games ie Jay, Vydra, Tarks, Mee, Westwood,Cornet

Re: Call Sean
no, i mean those who actually go on the games and not the ones who spend all game slagging them off on the match thread. Murger is the best example of this.

Re: Call Sean
Yes yes. Dyche did well for us over the years.
He also suffocated his current team to the point where we nearly escaped the relegation zone in what became an eight game mini season.
See the light people. Wake up.
He killed our team stone dead.

Re: Call Sean
Nit sure about ifs and buts around whether we would have been down before we actually were under Dyche. Our home form under him was pretty decent - the games against Southampton (let's be honest they were the definition of "on the beach") and Wolves were winnable.
That said its water under the bridge now. The gamble failed (largely because they didn't have a successor ready who might have just got the results in the last 4 games where we had 2 very winnable home games).
Essentially we have to move forward
