And Everton. I imagine he’ll have offers on the table from most of the 6th-15th teams in the Prem. Good luck to him.

Re: Villa apparently in talks with Tarks
Posted this on the "Where will players go" thread a little while ago:
On Tarks, The Telegraph has a report this afternoon saying "... But Everton have jumped to the front of the queue for Tarkowski by offering the central defender a contract worth around £90,000-a-week and outlining the ambition of head coach Frank Lampard...."
Also
"...Villa could yet try to trump Everton to his signing by making a firm offer of their own, but Lampard has made the biggest push so far, believing Tarkowski is the perfect profile of player to strengthen his defence.
Tarkowski is understood to be keen to make a decision on his future before he goes on holiday, having spent seven seasons at Burnley where he has consistently been one of the best defenders in the Premier League.

He could get more than £90k per week.LeadBelly wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 7:20 pmPosted this on the "Where will players go" thread a little while ago:

Can see him going to Everton. If Lampard stays thee and does OK next seaaon he could be a good platform to perform for Tarks and get back into the England thinking

Would Everton pay 90k a week, they don’t usually spend much money

He's probably the best centre half on a free out there
Everyone should be after him who are not City or Liverpool to be honest

Re: Villa apparently in talks with Tarks
At Everton would he partner or replace Keane?
Re: Villa apparently in talks with Tarks
If I were him I'd go to Newcastle if there is an offer from them, it's an absolute no brainer

Best of luck to him, he's been immense for us.

Why would he go to Everton, days from now their 10 point deduction for breaching FFP will get them relegated if Alan's cunning plan A works of course.

Good luck to him. Nobody can doubt the effort he put in.
If he were to play next to Mings we'd be able to see very clearly who was of England calibre.

Re: Villa apparently in talks with Tarks
Tarky and Pope would improve West Ham, that is where I would expect both to go.
Re: Villa apparently in talks with Tarks
According to SSN Everton are prepared to offer him £120,000 per week
But whats £30,000 per week difference between these Premier League players
Oh, and add on a significant signing on fee
You can understand why Ben Mee is also keeping his options open - and who can blame him

It’s amazing how much destruction one man can cause in 15 months ! Good luck to Tarks and any of the other players who decide enough is enough

it's the PL, they'd spread a 20 point deduction over 20 seasonsboatshed bill wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 9:51 pmIf there is a deduction it will be next season so that Everton can absorb it

Nice to see Everton tightening their belts, clearly they continue to have scant regard for FFP.jojomk1 wrote: ↑Tue May 24, 2022 11:14 amAccording to SSN Everton are prepared to offer him £120,000 per week

and if they did go there I'd be happy for them. I like Moyes, good manager and they certainly could challenge the top 6 with that type of strengtheningCrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Tue May 24, 2022 12:23 amTarky and Pope would improve West Ham, that is where I would expect both to go.

Re: Villa apparently in talks with Tarks
Personally think Tarks would strengthen United and I imagine that would be a dream move for him.
Maybe they just wouldn’t see him as a big enough name, or exciting for the fans. He’s better than what they currently have in my opinion.

Re: Villa apparently in talks with Tarks
He’d probably walk into Man United’s starting eleven but they’d no doubt ruin him, as they seem to have done with Maguire and Varane, among countless others.

One bit of advice James : if you go don’t go to Everton, they’ll mess you up.
Head to Villa, it’s a club on the up. You and Mings will be awesome together.

I agree and I very much doubt they will not be interested in him given their defensive frailties.Indecisive wrote: ↑Tue May 24, 2022 6:44 pmPersonally think Tarks would strengthen United and I imagine that would be a dream move for him.

Tarks would struggle to get in the Villa team ahead of Konsa and Mings. At his age he wants to be playing so Everton would be a better option in my opinion

Its awful reading about our best players leaving and what their options are. If only we'd beaten Brighton and Leeds at the start of the season.

Re: Villa apparently in talks with Tarks
Then Tarks would still be leaving and we would likely still need a miracle next year such is the extent of the rebuild.
I am clinging to the hope we have enough left with a couple of additions to get us back up where we can then add a few more before next season.
