Right. I was going off press at the time. He was being built into a major celeb by the BEEB at the time remember - even had his own version of the show… unsurprisingly he was dropped like a hot potato. At least it helped sell his book.quoonbeatz wrote: ↑Wed Jun 29, 2022 3:56 pmHe was arrested on a European warrant but wasn't extradited.

Is this the right thread to say its being reported that we've submitted a bid for Muleka.... Lots of reports in Belgium, Turkish and now British press
Re: Summer 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Yes Muleka is the main rumour at the moment being discussed.
Suggestions of a 3m bid, though there are other clubs involved.
From the clips I’ve seen he looks to have pace / willingness to run in behind, which is a trait none of our current options have.

Muleka scored 12 goals from <8xG, would point to a clinical finisher but there's always loads of godawful goalkeeping when you watch highlights packages for players in Turkish league so I'm cautious.
Re: Summer 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
3 million Euros I read. He looks decent, but hard to gauge as the defenders always look pretty rubbish.

Apologies if already posted but I see that Josh King has been released by Watford, I think he'll be a decent signing, possibly bring a bit of experience and quality to the squad

We have plenty of experience up front already in Jay and Barnes. Interesting, because I think he's had a decent game when I've seen him play against us. Id imagine he's on big wages though, hence why he's been released early, but he attitude could be a contribution.Swizzlestick wrote: ↑Wed Jun 29, 2022 4:28 pmI think there's a player there but consensus amongst Watford fans seems to be that his attitude was atrocious.

People forget when Brownhill was last in the championship he was excellent with both assists and goals.KRBFC wrote: ↑Wed Jun 29, 2022 11:19 amOff the ball the PL is a different beast, on the ball Brownhill couldn't pass wind. This idea he's gonna suddenly turn into Xavi is hilarious. He has his qualities does Brownhill, running, interceptions, hard work, I also think when he's confident and feeling himself he can carry the ball into the final third looking dangerous, the problem with Brownhill comes when he has to do something with the ball, his passing is really poor.
Carrying the ball into the final third and then giving it away with a poor pass (when playing in a midfield 2) is a really bad mix, leaves you out of position consistently and sets the opposition away on the counter attack.
But aye, can't pass wind

An old adage.
Strikers are at their best 20-24
MFs at 24-28
Defenders at 28-30
It is old so add a year or two to the top end but it is still true.

It’s really strange why it’s still not been announced, but Craig Bellamy has been taking the training since VK arrived.

A bit more on Muleka.
Burnley submit £2.5m bid for 15-goal ace, want his £700k team-mate too.
A 22-year-old DR Congo international centre-forward, Kompany is a big fan of a player who caught his eye at Standard Liege. Muleka only enhanced his reputation during an excellent season on loan at Kasimpasa too, scoring 15 goals and providing seven assists.
Interestingly, Muleka is not the only member of Deila’s squad on Kompany’s shopping list. Burnley are also willing to stump up a further £700,000 to sign fellow Standard ace and Congo international Samuel Bastien.

he's just so inconsistent if he was a player that would guarantee you 20 goals plus in championship then they would have kept him but he is a poor mans pogba - great 1 game then missing for next 2-3.claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Wed Jun 29, 2022 4:39 pmInteresting, because I think he's had a decent game when I've seen him play against us.
