Summer 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Re: Summer 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Name me one player who we would be in the position to buy with part of the budget of a Brownhill sale who we could attract that is held in the same esteem by professionals and coaches, has more experience at the same levels as Brownhill at just 26 or under and would make the midfield stronger?... Just one will do!
Sibley (nowhere near as experienced as Brownhill and a gamble)Sibley, Knight, Swift, Lewis cook, Massengo, Garner, Gibbs White, choudhury, Dowell etc… etc…
Knight (nowhere near as experienced and we have left it far too late to have a chance to sign him.)
Swift (Zero chance of ever signing for us)
Lewis (Don't know who you are referring to there. Probably another inexperienced gamble!)
Cook (Not sure he would take a pay cut to come here lol)
Massengo (Like I said in my original comment... Complete gamble!)
Garner (Looks decent but again an unknown. Where is the experience I was talking about and where are all these clubs lining up to buy him)
Gibbs (lol)
White (do you honestly think he would come here?)
Choudhury (Talk about delusions of grandeur... We couldn't even agree on terms with an unknown player from Arsenal haha)
Dowell (What makes you think we could attract him when he is already on a similar wage and at a bigger club?)
Re: Summer 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
I hope this is done sooner rather than later as he's clearly not going to be here next season.ClaretAL wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 1:27 pmA bit around Cornet..

All of them played at a higher standard at a younger age. At the same age as most of them Brownhill wasn’t even championship level.BigChaCha wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 1:30 pmSibley (nowhere near as experienced as Brownhill and a gamble)

Brownhill was so good at Championship level he only managed to play just over half the games for Bristol City in his final season with them

Re: Summer 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Absolutely no chance of signing any players like that and we haven't been linked or have signed any midfield players like that so that proves my point!...If you honestly think none of them players come to Burnley we might as well give up.
Norwich are certainly not a bigger club in any sense of the word
On Norwich. let's look at the facts!...
Firstly the averages -
Season Competition Average
19/20 Premier League 19,911
18/19 Championship 26,014
17/18 Championship 25,773
16/17 Championship 26,354
They average far more than us when we are in the Prem when they are playing in the Champ lol...
They blow us out of the water on averages, population size and if you did a survey across the country, 90% would say they are a bigger club than us if asked when not in this delusional echo chamber.

I can now see why VK has mentioned it may take a bit of time to get up and running for us with all the new players.
Genuinely didn't believe this level of activity would happen.
It's great though ha ha. Loving the anticipation of trying to see how all these players will blend together.

Re: Summer 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
So they're automatically a bigger club because the only thing that matters is population size of the town/city? So Rotherham and Warrington are bigger clubs than Burnley despite 1 not even having a football team. Aye alright then pal, you keep calling people deluded.BigChaCha wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 2:29 pmAbsolutely no chance of signing any players like that and we haven't been linked or have signed any midfield players like that so that proves my point!...

Yep, more than a third larger average attendance, about a third bigger stadium and more than double the population The only similarity is that we play in the same league! You’re wrong, but they are a similar sized club
Re: Summer 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Both signings so far have been quick to mention their eagerness to work with Kompany. An excellent choice made by Pace, just for recruitment/rebuild alone with Kompany's knowledge, contacts and pulling power.

Stop going on about bloody Norwich, nobody gives a ****
Lots of business, all good stuff - think we’re going to need some patience with the team though as this is some turnover of players.

Well done for taking a tiny snippet and making a big deal out of it... I think there is a phrase for thatSo they're automatically a bigger club because the only thing that matters is population size of the town/city? So Rotherham and Warrington are bigger clubs than Burnley despite 1 not even having a football team. Aye alright then pal, you keep calling people deluded.
As I said, they blow us out of the water when it comes to averages and the potential of fans they can attract to the stadium... There is no contest!... You can spit your dummy out all day about it but it is not going to change the facts.
Re: Summer 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Samuel Bastien actually looks like a decent all-around player from the clips I've seen of him.

You missed the bit about them nearly filling that bigger stadium to capacity with their average over the last 5 years... An average that statistically overshadows us by a very large margin!... Posting tons of emojis don't change that fact, it just looks like a 12-year-old is replying. So having a bigger stadium so they can get more fans in makes them the bigger club lol

If Muleka rumours are true think we need to be patient with him. I was aware of him when he signed for Standard Liege as he came with some hype from African football but he never really adjusted to the level at RCSL and I'd stopped looking out for him so wasn't aware of his red hot form in Turkey since January.
I think the Championship is closer to the Belgian league than Turkey in terms of quality and physicality so I think it'll likely take time for him adjust to the level rather than straight away bring his form at Kasimpasa to ourselves.
Happy with the signing though

Fair comment about giving strikers time
The last hyped up one turned into a dud
However Andre Gray was scoring for fun after 2 games.
