What a seesawing game of cricket, tense, nervy right to the last ball. Knackered after watching that!

How om earth did we drag that out of the fire again, as for Yorks, bunch of bottlers for the 2nd time this season.

Fair do's to the German 1930's hairdo brigade, Heydrich was the difference and Luke "high trousers" Wood bowled an excellent penultimate over.

What a brilliant game T20 is. Whatever the first innings score that is par for the pitch. Two evenly balanced sides will normally give you a super finish.
I thought we’d blew it when the six sailed over Luke Wood, who should have been back to the ropes for a straightforward catch. Great death bowling saw us home.

Great effort from both XIs.
Big score from Lancs; Yorks chasing the big score really well and getting into a position where they were favourites; Lancs keeping just cool enough to come back strong at the end.

It shows how well Lancs batted.
Because we bowled poor and they batted superb for large parts and they still couldn't get them.

I think we only play 14 matches and there's 9 teams in each group, so not a reverse against every team.

I live in Birmingham and it’s the first one I always look for. Frustratingly it’s the one at OT this year due to the number of teams in the group.

Aye it's the last game on 3rd July. The next 2 home fixtures are at Blackpool CC.

They're going to need to work on their bowling. Most of Yorkshire's sixes came of short pitched stuff; if Lancashire had pitched it up I reckon it wouldn't have been close. (Cutting out the legside full tosses wouldn't do any harm either!)

We lose Livingstone, Wood, Salt, and Parky now to international duty, so I'm glad we've got the points on the board already.

A brilliant game and evening.

Made even better with the bottlers collapse at the end. The only thing that could have topped it would have been the odious Lyth running on to the pitch celebrating while the final ball was heading towards the boundary.

I know the purists say it isn't proper cricket but if games like that get more people watching cricket, especially paying to do so it can only be good for all forms of the game.
Richard 111, Dickie Bird ,Geoffrey Boycott ,James Martin,
Sean Bean your guys took a hell of a beating.

I suppose I'd have to consider myself a purist. I love red ball cricket and hardly missed a delivery in last week's test match against New Zealand. But how on earth anyone can knock T20 cricket I don't know. As you say, it gets people watching cricket, it gets a lot of kids watching which is vital and if anyone hasn't been entertained by the two Roses games this season then surely they can have no interest in cricket at all.

Incredible game last night. For a neutral that would have been wonderful entertainment, for those of us supporting either team then I suppose it got a bit tense. I'm looking forward to the test match tomorrow but the memory of last night's game will live on. Brilliant stuff.

I said earlier up on this thread that I used to turn my nose up at T20. Like Tony, I love red ball cricket.

I've totally changed my mind. In fact, I'm going to my first ever T20 against Notts at Blackpool a week on Sunday.

Lancs 130 all out, Croft with 55 at least giving the bowlers something to work with, but a tall order to defend that score.

Let’s hope that this is just a blip. We knew we had to make a good start to this campaign before our internationals departed and the team deserve that little bit of a buffer. Fingers crossed that we can pick up again in the forthcoming games. Still, that said, it looks to be a tricky wicket and windy out there, so you just never know

Very poor from Lancs generally. Next game please! We missed Luke Wood on that surface.
