Derby going well in reply 28-1 after 3, Gleeson's 1st over going for 20, 220 is a big score to chase, but if a couple get in this might be close.

Same here. I’m getting just a commentary. Derby need 42 from 13 balls.

Thanks Tony.

We are a victim of our white ball success, with four of our players in the 14 man ODI squad.

A decent chase by Derbyshire, a good game of cricket.
400+ runs, not a game for bowlers who are in effect pie-throwers!

I don't know,it just cut out after 11 overs of the Detbyshire innings. It was the England & Wales Cricket Board who were responsible, I think.

Good to hear about another Lancs win, but the real test will be how we deal with losing some of our big players, do we have the strength in depth to continue this run?

Lancs-Northants just got underway, Northanys won toss and are batting.

Yorkshire-Durham also just started, Durham won toss and are also batting.

Lancs WIN on the last ball, but Northants chucked it away with some absolutely criminal deliveries for extras. Should have lost that but won. Fabulous!! 🌹🌹🌹

Amazing finish - wanting 18 from last two overs, we scored 12 from the first of them and it looked a cakewalk. Not so.

Both batsmen in at the start of the over got it, and it reached the point of needing 3 off 2 balls. We scrambled 1 from the first of them but the umpire signalled wide for the second time in the over making that 2, leaving us 1 to get off the last ball. We got the one but the umpire signalled a no ball as well so won with a ball to spare.

CG - I’ll feedback to the Board … I agree the club are really trying so hard to ensure the Mach day experience is first class.

Good news is finals day does not clash with football for a change.

We actually needed 3 off the last ball. Which we ran one to the keeper off but was then called wide which resulted in only needing 1 off the last ball. I don’t blame you for not being able to keep up, all sorts going on in that last over !!!! Incredible game of Cricket

I’d just about kept up during that last over. I just posted it incorrectly. From thinking it was an easy win going into the last over, then thinking we’d blown it, we won.

So from needing three to win off the last ball, we managed to win with a ball to spare.

Just catching up with the result as I hit sack early night due to this irksome cold I've got, Hearing Lancs won again has perked me up, and what a crazy finale.

Yorkshire also won despite Brook failing for once.

That last ball went for 6 I think, but the no ball took us over the total needed, so poor Luke Wood misses out on an average booster!

What bugs me (mildly) is when someone hits a four to win and they only count 1 of the runs, if the batsmen have completed a single. How can they do that? That single shouldn't count. It's not a legitimate run, because if the ball goes for 4, the runs you have actually run are knocked off (unless the four is via overthrows).

I think that as soon as the total is hit, i.e.the single in your example, or the no ball in mine, then the game is won and the ball becomes immediately dead, therefore anything after this becomes inconsequential. Funny old game!

It's weird. Presumably if someone hits a six to win (without a no ball!) then the 6 counts, because the ball isn't dead until it lands.

It depends on the total needed. If they needed 1, and ran that before the 6 cleared the rope, then the 1 would count and not the 6 as the former would end the game.

If they needed 2 and only ran one before the boundary, then the boundary (and all 4 or 6 runs) would be awarded, and as you mentioned, the single chalked off.

That's surely wrong. It might be how it's done, but it's wrong. If you need 1 to win and hit the ball high in the air and run a single, that doesn't mean you have won because the ball is not dead. It could still be caught. The ball isn't dead until it hits the ground, so the six should count.

I think this was a case of someone trying to be too clever by half, finding a solution to something that wasn't a problem.

Also causes an issue with net run rate (albeit very insignificant in grand scheme of things)

That must be unique to the Blast as Joe Root hit a four to win the test and was given the full amount.

Also I’ve watched 1000’s of league cricket games and I’m sure the batter gets full change.

They didn't touch down to complete the single. If the batsman hovers his bat above the crease at the far end, but doesn't touch down, then the four counts. If both batsmen have completed the run, it doesn't.

Lancs well poised to complete a win at Leicester, if the rain disappears. 48-1 in the 6th chasing a modest 136, 6 bowlers among the wickets, with Hartley and Parkinson both posting impressive figures.

Even if there's no more play, we win on D/L.
