Forest
Forest, I think, would be stronger competition next year and Huddersfield would offer a very local game

Seen too many articles about Forest "deserving" to be in the Premier League coz history etc. Nauseating. So, Huddersfield. Good club, similar to Burnley. We need a plucky town team to keep our seat warm there for us

Nottingham Forest, a club and a city that belongs in the top flight but has sadly been in the wilderness for too long. It would be an honour as a Burnley fan to be replaced in the Premier League by such a great club.

Forest I think
Not because I particularly want them to go up, but Huddersfield is more local

Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
Both are very decent away games, but I think if Forest stay down they've already taken one of the top six spots. Cooper has been in the play-offs in every season he's been a manager. Huddersfield I think would lose a few if they stay down, including their manager.
Forest for me as well, then.

Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
If I was to have guessed at any one poster saying a club “belongs” in the top league, I’d have guessed correctly.
No one belongs there. You earn it.

Forest, purely because they are a bigger threat to the automatic places next season in the Championship.

Forrest fans celebrated winning the play off semi final like they had won the European Cup.
The media will be gushing over Notts Forrest getting back into the PL.
Huddersfield for me.

Purely for self preservation, Forest for me.
Besides, a very good mate of mine is a Forest fan.

Huddersfield here as well. Hate all that "it's where we belong" rubbish. Aim for the highest level by all means but no-one is any more deserving except on the pitch where it matters.
And who says forest will be guaranteed playoffs or better next year?

I'm pleasantly surprised by how long Forest have been out of the top flight.

I hope forest win. Huddersfield will be another derby. Blackburn, PNE, Blackpool, Wigan and maybe Huddersfield. Just short of Bolton.

Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
Forest will be a strong side next year if they don't go up, so for that reason gotta be them for the Prem.

Forest, their fans deserve it and it would be nice to see a new club in the PL.

I said I'd like to see a new club in the PL, I haven't seen Forest in the PL before given I was a young child the last time they were there.

Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
Personally I can't wait to hear the pundits waxing lyrical about Forest if they get promoted, over exaggerating the size of the club and how they deserve to be there due to their size/stature within the game blah blah blah.
Should be vomit inducing

Huddersfield.
Purely because I know a forest fan who is a total knob, and I am that petty.

Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
Why rubbish? they've stuck by their side in numbers despite 15 years in a row in the 2nd tier and a brief spell in League One prior to that. It must be their 5th time in the play offs too? Good club, I'd like to see in the PL for the first time (given I was a young kid the last time they was there).
Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
I must admit, I'm not one of those weirdos who will be angry at the medias coverage of another side either. If Forest go up, they'll deserve all the plaudits that come with it and I think it's important the history of clubs is remembered with significance, otherwise, what was the point?
Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
It's got to be Notts Forrest for the reason put forward by the legendary jd robbo.
Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
In numbers , Nottingham is 4 times the size of Burnley , this shouldn’t need pointing out to you as a Burnley fanKRBFC wrote: ↑Sat May 28, 2022 4:47 pmWhy rubbish? they've stuck by their side in numbers despite 15 years in a row in the 2nd tier and a brief spell in League One prior to that. Their fans are acting like Leeds fans as in they think it’s their right to be in the Premier League , although I’ll give you they have actually won the European Cup

Again, no idea why you're mentioning Burnley, this has absolutely nothing to do with Burnley. I was talking about Forest.joey13 wrote: ↑Sat May 28, 2022 5:04 pmIn numbers , Nottingham is 4 times the size of Burnley , this shouldn’t need pointing out to you as a Burnley fan

Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
It's always absolute nonsense when any team's fans are categorised as thinking in a certain way. How could you possibly know how forest fans think en masse? Most of them won't even remember being in the top flight and certainly winning a European Cup.joey13 wrote: ↑Sat May 28, 2022 5:04 pmIn numbers , Nottingham is 4 times the size of Burnley , this shouldn’t need pointing out to you as a Burnley fan

Its like a fan of another team suggesting that all Burnley fans are racist thickos because a couple of idiots flew a banner.

Their average attendance is about 27,000 notwithstanding fans that don't attend. How much surveying have you been doing?

Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
Forest too for me as not only should it make our life a little easier next season, it would also make life more difficult for Leeds to escape next season too as I think they’d have more of a chance surviving than Huddersfield..

I'm hoping for a Forest win purely because I'd rather we were facing Huddersfield next season.

Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
Not fussed either way, hoping for a 5-5 draw at fulltime, 7-7 after extra time and 30-29 on penalties
