Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Adnan Januzaj has been highlighted as a target to me by the most unreliable person I know (based I suspect on the fact he is Belgian) However, the name rings a bell have we had him on loan or trial at some point.

Fuentes another midget with only 25 games for Barca B and 16 for OM, according to wiki.
Hope I’m proved wrong but nothing to get excited about there.

Other reports from the Rangers end suggest no contact between Burnley and Rangers for Sakala

Not the kind of tweet you like to see about a rumoured player of interest. In VK we trust though if there's anything in it?

Would appear he's played mainly on the flanks from what I can see, in an advanced position, maybe similar to Rashford and Welbeck used to be.
He's probably not going to score in huge numbers out there

The year is 2011. Burnley scouts are looking at a young lad called Ben Mee. “15 games for Leicester City in the championship? Nothing to get excited about.”Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 4:05 pmFuentes another midget with only 25 games for Barca B and 16 for OM, according to wiki.

He doesn’t get signed.

Possible that 15k a week net, after tax, as that’s how European players/clubs usually work on wages. So around 25-30k a week gross.RVclaret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 2:29 pmhttps://www.ojogo.pt/futebol/1a-liga/sp ... 83175.html
A different Portugease media outlet reporting we are trying to convince Cabral by offering 800k euros a year salary. That’s 15k euros a week, doesn’t seem that high to be honest.

Although I know nothing much of De La Fuente, he must have a good pedigree to have been at Barcelona and then Marseille.

Sakala is very mediocre from the few rangers games I've seen.
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
He is a free agent and was featured by Sky Sports this morning on twitter in the best of 11 free agents:

Also, just seen Leeds are on the verge of signing Sarr from Watford. Hopefully they complete it before Friday and we get a striker lined up before they start looking for a replacement:

Muric will sleep easier on Thursday.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
The more names I hear mentioned as potential forwards to recruit, the more confused I am getting at the type of player we are looking to lead our line. A number have been more "wingers" in style for their current clubs. Others have a poor goal scoring records, and as seems common with a number , they have gone out on loan shortly after having been given a contract-not sure how to view that. However the more I think about it, the more I think that young Delap would be ideal. He is quick, has an eye for goal, and is an obvious star of the future which is why City are keeping him. I know Stoke are keen, but thats gone quiet ,and they have a stronger forward line than us, meaning potentially less game time. VK needs to get the 3 City players we have to get Delap to push for a move to us

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
After the weekend Kompany said he was hopeful for signings this week and that there were many deals that were close and there’s lots of people wanting to come to Burnley.
So it must be sorting fees and instalments and wage structures that’s holding things up

Now if we were after Morelos that’s a different story. El buffalo would love the championship

Dennis & Pedro still big threats but no denying that Sarr has scored & created their goals so far.

The search for a striker and not borrowing a very good one, would suggest we are after recruiting young players we can sell on for profit. Rather than to build a successful team.warksclaret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 5:20 pmThe more names I hear mentioned as potential forwards to recruit, the more confused I am getting at the type of player we are looking to lead our line. Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Like I've just said on the League Cup thread, we have ten games coming up in thirty six days, the thought that signing a wide man means we aren't actively looking at central strikers has to be a nonsense.
This season could be just as much about survival of the fittest as much as the best side being the most successful. IMO, we will be bringing in at least five more players and that will include another striker. The work that has been done so far in a limited amount of time has to give the majority of us confidence that we will be more than competitive when the lads turn up to training on Friday 2nd September.

Christensen just signed the other month for Barca didn't he?
Pretty sure they released an atrocious signing on video that people were saying was toss and using one of ours as an example of how to do it properly

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
I don't think we are particularly looking for a striker to lead the line. We appear to be looking for players who can play off or around the 2 we already have in that mould.warksclaret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 5:20 pmThe more names I hear mentioned as potential forwards to recruit, the more confused I am getting at the type of player we are looking to lead our line. I’ve gotta say, it’s refreshing not going for the trusted old pro’s, and my football knowledge probably isn’t what it was since I stopped playing footy manager, but I’ve literally never heard of a single player we’ve signed this window!
