Well done them I say, listening to and acting upon concerns from fans.

Yes well done to them.
The toon not seeming to be bothered though about any backlash about being Saudi owned.

Don't know what they were thinking organising that. I suppose there was probably a fee involved.Funkydrummer wrote: ↑Tue Jun 28, 2022 11:55 amhttps://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61951124

Re: Watford call off friendly
Fancy arranging it in the first place.
Back to Newcastle:
The Saudis not only amputate heads but hands and feet as well.
Naturally, they don't permit homosexuality either.
However, this is all perfectly 'fit and proper' as far as the Premier League are concerned.
I haven't seen any mass protests from Newcastle fans either.

Massive cop out from Watford's owners as the friendly is going to be Udinese v Qatar instead.
Still, doesn't take any credit from the Watford fans.

A massive well done to the Watford fans. As for Newcastle the less said the better.

At least there’s a good reason for this game to be cancelled.
Re: Watford call off friendly
A pity this year's World Cup wasn't called off too.

The United States electrifies, gases, and lethally injects people. There is nothing natural about homosexuality either - ask the US armed forces2 Bee Holed wrote: ↑Tue Jun 28, 2022 12:08 pmFancy arranging it in the first place.

I believe Shrewsbury are, however, going ahead with their game, but their captain will be wearing rainbow laces.
Should we now boycott our game with them?

Re: Watford call off friendly
1/. How many convicts did the US execute in 2021, was it 11?
2/. How many did the Saudis execute on one day this year, 81?
3/. I think that if you cannot afford a defence lawyer on the US, you are entitled to a free one. This isn't the case in Saudia Arabia.
4/. It seems to me that those sentenced to death in the US, have a right to a large number of appeals.
5/. I thought that for the past 10 or 11 years homosexuality was legal in the US forces.
I think you live in America, are the above points true?
To answer your point, no it's not ok. I am not happy for any country to execute it's citizens. However, if you are going to carry out the death sentence then at least give free legal aid and a strong right of appeal.

I’m not condoning at all, and yes I do live in the ISA, it is home. The point I’m making is it’s not black and white. We cannot universally condemn while closing our eyes to “western” instances. Execution is execution with its one or one hundred….
….. I’m just making sure we’re discussing degrees not absolutes

Nothing else they could do tbh. Though they took their time about it.
