Eoin Morgan retires

Post by ClaretTony » Tue Jun 28, 2022 2:12 pm

Just been confirmed and with immediate effect that he's retiring from international cricket due to his struggles with both form and fitness.

- most ODI caps and runs
- most t20 caps and runs
- World Cup winning captain

Fair to say he completely changed England's white ball cricket.

Will always be remembered as the captain who turned round our white ball game - both 20 and 50 overs. Outstanding player for England.

A true England great, particularly in white ball cricket, but right for him to bow out now, and allow the likes of Livingstone and others to cement their places in the squad.
