Nothing said that we were changing physio at all

I was told some players had refused to be treated by him. Probably bullshit but that was the rumour.

I’ve no idea on that and I know we still have a very good head physio. But Ally had been with us for almost 12 years and had previously worked at Man City & Spurs. Although not connected, strangely went on the same day as Dyche.

I have a dear old friend who is one of Oxford's best supporters.Classified as a VIP and appears on their website, rarely misses a game home or away, so fair to say he knows the Oxford players inside out. He speaks very highly of McNally saying he is one of his favorite players, and says he should do well with us. Incidentally his favorite player is midfielder Cameron Branaghan. Did we not make an offer several years ago ?

Good stuff! Refreshing that we're getting business done early. It's exciting to see some younger players being added to the experience we've already got in the squad. Welcome to Burnley FC, Luke!

Don’t know about an offer for Brannigan but definitely a link.

Costelloe could make the squad, and we also have the young lad, McCullough.
We did well when we had Irishmen in the team.

Another one who comes over well in interview. He's quite a unit, too.

I really hope the lad does well at Burnley, but let's not get carried away, he has played 28 games in Tier 3 for Oxford so as it stands Burnley will probably start with Long and Collins as the centre back pairing.

Chris Smalling went from the Isthmian League Premier Division after 12 appearances, to Fulham in the Premier League to make 13 appearances before signing for Utd.

If the new lad is good enough, he'll start ahead of Long.

I doubt very much Long will start. What's the big deal in McNally stepping up a division? Peter Noble and Frank Casper had no problems stepping up a division.

Yeah I've got to say, I very much don't see Long starting at all. I think VK will make a decision between the three coming in. We may even see him opt for a three, and that would certainly explain him bringing in so many CBs.

Frank and Uwe had a lot of experience at their respective levels before they came to Burnley. Indeed as we know only too well, Uwe had appeared in a League Cup Final.

In my comment I said “as it stands”. I fervently hope that Burnley will make some more quality signings.

Where does this leave Bedeau who has a similar number of Level 3 experience and Bobby Thomas?

Noble had already played top flight football when he signed for us while Casper had over 100 league games under his belt when we signed him.

Best wishes to Mc Nally. If he is anything like as Noble and Casper he will do very well.

If he’s anything like Keane, Cahill, Tarks or Mee, he will do for me.
