Everton's proposed takeover.

If they had of been relegated would this have happened ?
Somehow I don't think so, these big money people don't just do things on a whim and certain assurances will have been needed and certain wheels greased.
Not sure how the club's complaint against Everton treatment by the Premier league and FA is going but these people must have deep pockets to either pay up or fight it, might get interesting if documents etc have to be provided.

That complaint seems to have died a death.
Re: Everton's proposed takeover.
With the lack of communication from the club we may never find out.

Peter Kenyon for sure, the rest… possibly not. That’s a hell of a commitment to say Kenyan sold because he’s not in that league, so from that I think we can assume he’s a figurehead/champion.

The finances of the proposed buying company sound messy

Sounds very dodgy ,fit and proper? That said it's Everton so no doubt the Premier league will help them.out again.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 29, 2022 9:50 pmhttps://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/e80c ... 1a928afe78

Re: Everton's proposed takeover.
Sure I read somewhere they are under some sort of weird transfer thing where the league control how they conduct their transfers in the future. That’s their punishment. How they’ve been allowed to offset losses of potential future values of players due to Covid is staggering..
How can anybody predict what a player will be worth in the future and what somebody will be willing to pay for him, it absolutely stinks?

Football is eating itself and heading for a huge bout of indigestion at the very least.
Will there be a remedy ?

The whole thing stinks in n fact the premier league is just a money laundering casino. Football needs to be careful about where it is heading.

Re: Everton's proposed takeover.
Poor report in The Times. Property companies have lots of separate activities. They tend to keep each development project separate. If one runs into difficulties it usually doesn't impact on other projects. The one in the article with financial difficulties was back in 2017 and won't have anything to do with interests in Everton. Of course, the ability to fund acquisition of Everton (or Bramley Dock) would need to be proved to be able to proceed. While some reports say that the proposed takeover discussions have ended, there are others that are claiming that discussions are continuing with members of the US property company family. Time will tell.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 29, 2022 9:50 pmhttps://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/e80c ... 1a928afe78
