No - that's all the club have revealed just yet. In previous years with the behind closed doors games we've had team news and goal updates, but not this year.

Only 1-0 against Rochdale? Wtf is going on ffs? We all had high hopes but if this doesn't bring us back to reality I don't know what will. A long hard season ahead i think.

Looks like Jay missed the game. And Mcnally subbed at 34 mins, hopefully just precautions. No Richardson either so he must not be fit yet.

Here we go

Burnley

First Half: Norris, Lowton, McNally (Thomas ’34), Long, Taylor, Cork, Brownhill, McNeil, Gudmundsson, Twine, Barnes

Second Half: Waller, Dodgson, Thomas (Sassi ’81) Bedeau, Armstrong, Helm, Phillips, Tucker, Thompson, McGlynn, Costelloe

Unused Subs: Woods, Harker

With a start like this Scott Twine could be the new Lukas Jutkiewicz

From the report with a bit more luck Twine could of got 2 or 3

Sounds like it was the plan in order to give minutes to Thomas and Sassi from the report on the official site.

no Collins, Cornet or Roberts potentially suggests they are on the way out.

Or it could be that they haven’t yet returned to training following being away on international duty

Still playing in last season’s kit with no sponsor. Hope that gets sorted soon.

Kit as expected, they wouldn’t have worn any new kit in a behind closed doors friendly without it having been officially unveiled and marketed.

One thing to take from it having no sponsor on possibly means SpreadEx are not this years sponsor as the deal will have expired.

Now I know this is asking a lot, but if he can stay fit he would be a superb option. He's not been discussed with all the incoming and outgoings, but he could be very very important this season.

You are right, it's asking a lot. He will not be important this season as his career is over because his body can no longer deal with professional football. Wishful thinking on your part

What do you think the chances are of seeing some highlights from the game?

They had cameras there as there is a snippet of Kompany giving instructions from the dugout in the Harwood Bellis interview video.

Definitely agree that it's slightly worrying that Richardson wasn't involved in any way as he's had a rough time with injury for a while, but I thought/hoped he'd got past all that now.

They're training aids marking out zones for player positioning. No doubt a Kompany introduction. I noticed Leeds United had similar at their training ground, you could see on Google Maps but having just checked it seems the satellite image has been updated and they've since been removed.

Our game at St James' Park last season is on Sky Sports Premier League if anyone wants a fix. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, gonna stick with the cricket.
