Enjoy fighting relegation James, i'll never forget that disrespectful interview he gave whilst still being a Burnley player.

Wish him luck personally. But Everton really left a sour taste last season so hope they fail.

Shame really because with Richarlison gone, you could see them struggling again, Tarky will make a big difference.

Wish him nothing but the best - was outstanding for us from the day he came in until the day he left. Showed great respect for our club and leaves us owing us nothing.

Bless him. What do you think players sign for Burnley for ?

Such a juvenile stance when someone moves on to start whinging about money. When you start working you might even change jobs yourself for a few extra quid. Hope not though or that would make you a hypocrite

Exactly this! It’s business, wish him all the best! Best centre half I’ve ever seen in my time watching Burnley

Good player, wish him well, but he won't win a sausage at Everton.

A good move for Tarks, and he's one similar to Pope who deserves to remain in the PL.

Best of luck JT in the next stage of your career, a true Burnley stalwart who more than earned his modest transfer fee in spades.

Any rumour Richarlison left because he didn't want to be lumped up and down every day in training?

Top player Tarkowski, proper giant of a man, physically and mentally. Hope he goes on to achieve great things.

He signed a contract and gave his all throughout the duration of the contract. I'll never understand why fans take it so personally when players move on.

Probably a good move and will be paid a fortune. Won’t win anything though. They could be in our place with one or two result changes. He wouldn’t have been signing for them then. Been a good player for us though of that there is no doubt. Met him once and seemed a nice guy too.

Top player for us, fantastic signing at such a bargain price.
Owes us nothing, gave us everything right until the end.

Mr. 100% for Burnley - a leader, never red-carded, inspired those around him and was a model professional whilst at the club. Good luck Tarks, you will do well at Goodson I’m sure.

I wish him all the best, though I think Everton could still struggle next season. Possibly the best centre back I've ever seen at Burnley.

Good luck to him. I hope he does really well there. He was unbelievably brilliant for us and showed fantastic and unquestionable service to our club. Consistently our best player season after season.

on the back of a stellar season for Burnley, arguably his best.

The mind boggles, the best of wishes for Tarks, but to be totally honest I hope Everton struggle again.

Good luck to him for his England aspirations, and for him as a player.

As for Everton…. Hope they implode and finally get that relegation on their CV.

Great player for us and hope he does well at Everton. A bit disappointed he hasn’t been given a chance at a top six club but realistically Everton is about right for him, assuming they get back to consistently being in the top 10 and progressing in the Cups. Good luck, James!

An absolute colossus for us and a major reason for our success under SD. Personally think he could’ve had a better gig than Everton but they’ll be paying big money so who can blame him.

Off memory they probably did play together during that season, not sure how often though, or if they were ever paired in a league match.

Best wishes, James Tarkowski. Hope you achieve everything you aim to achieve with Everton. Always enjoyed and appreciated your efforts for Burnley.

BTW: Don't forget that little task Alan Pace has asked you to look in to. If you can get access to Everton's financial records and correspondence for the past 3 years or so that will be very much appreciated. ;)

Best of luck to him, he was brilliant for us. New squad number 2 though? I'd rather have 28 as a centre half.

I think the only time they started together was the 2-0 win at Palace at end of 2016/17 season

Wish him all the best. Been brilliant for us.

Had to laugh at Lampard’s PR machine feeding the press lines about how he persuaded Tarkowski to join Everton over other suitors though. He’s landed a career defining, massive ******* contract that takes him close to his 34th birthday and he can stay close to his family. That’s why he’s gone to Everton.

He had some amazing games for us, largely alongside Ben, with some PL teams having 70 plus % possession, yet with Heaton or Pope behind him we kept a high number of clean sheets. Be watching how he adapts to Everton with interest-hope it works for him, and he is liked by their fans

Superb for us and a huge loss. He seems to be impressed by Evertons ambition which reading between the lines implies we are not !! Hope he got a mega signing on fee

He did have a number of offers and I’m sure being close to his family was of importance to him. But the length and value of contract will have more than helped.

Every player when joining a new club ALWAYS says how impressed they are with said clubs ambitions.

Everton have got themselves into a financial mess because they are spending far beyond their means, probably in the hope of somehow competing with Liverpool, when in reality they are years behind them at the moment.

Same approach as me. I was DubaiClaret but moved to Vienna and some wag on here suggested I should be Rigsbyscat. And the I moved again and we came with new user names to this forum so I was not rigsbyscat so shortened it to NRC

So you can be NTE or TPFKATE. So either some kind of Korean food or go rainbow and be TPF-Kate

Gutted to see Tarky in another shirt. When you see things like this, and when Mee signs for someone, it really dawns on you that it’s the end of an era. I’d love to be proved wrong but I’m not sure we’ll ever have it so good again.

Tarks was fantastic for us but the interview he gave about joining Everton was laughable. Ambitious ? Ambitious ? He went to a team who deserved to go down, had an extremely poor defence who will struggle again this season despite his arrival. I know players always say positive stuff about the team they are joining but let's be honest, it did it for more money and a chance to sustain his best possible pay day as a last hurrah until age catches him out and the only way will be down the leagues with less money. His England chances are roughly 0% as he is now clearly not even in the pecking order let alone anywhere near the top of the list. Playing at Everton isn't going to change that one iota.

Most players are financially motivated so I would take what they say in interviews with a pinch of salt. The same goes for players who sign for us.

Of course money is a factor. It would be for the vast majority of people. Nothing wrong with that. But I'm certain what motivated him hugely was to continue playing in the PL at a bigger club in the North West and also to improve his chances of getting in the England squad. Those boxes will be ticked as far as he's concerned which is all that matters.
