Re: RIP Clive Middlemass
Sorry to hear. R.I.P.
Unfortunately Clive joined us at a difficult time for the club (though it did not look that way at the time he arrived). He was obviously well thought of by those in the game; though he now triggers little by way of memories for me of his time at Burnley, others will undoubtably have less general vague memories of him.
R.I.P. Clive Middlemass.

Re: RIP Clive Middlemass
Blimey, he looked about 77 when he was at Burnley, that said, that was through the eyes of a 10-year-old me at the time. Having a quick look at his Wiki page, which I appreciate won't be fully detailed, it seems like his stayed in the game for some time after leaving Burnley mainly doing scouting roles. He must've love the game. RIP Clive.

Re: RIP Clive Middlemass
I won't start another thread but just got home to see this.
Nice man was Clive and it's a sad loss. I've put a few words on the site now.
Coincidentally, he was to be mentioned in an article on site today but I'll now put that back until tomorrow.

Yes but if memory serves, he was also in temporary charge (possibly when Heath suddenly left, and continued at the club under Chris Waddle in a different capacity.Wokingclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jul 04, 2022 2:33 pmAssistant Manager after Mullen's 1st season, so part of the setup for the Play off final in 1994

See link to article - caretaker when Mullen left. Heath moved him away from first team at end of 95/96 season.elwaclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jul 04, 2022 5:00 pmYes but if memory serves, he was also in temporary charge (possibly when Heath suddenly left, and continued at the club under Chris Waddle in a different capacity.
