I bet it won’t be.
Usually ST holders on holiday so whilst it may be a sell out, I’m not sure it will be full

Re: Any ground improvements?
San Miguel on tap- that was the only change I spotted.
Re: Any ground improvements?
Sold out of pies by ht in the Longside Upper, so no change there then!

Seat share seems to be a new initiative they've introduced this season

Re: Any ground improvements?
The fenced off section on the Longside carpark was much smaller which was great for the flow of fans.
The Sam Miguel that had been pre poured and topped up was awful.

The new magnetic grass to keep the ball on the floor is a great addition, far easier to spot with my eye sight than when it was constantly in the sky.
Hope we keep it

Tannoy in JHU non existent, WiFi seems to be even worse than last season. Electronic signage outside looked good.

Re: Any ground improvements?
I got to the ground at 2.35pm. They'd already run out of programmes.
Agree with comments re tannoy. You couldn't hear it at the top of the JHU.
It would be helpful if the electronic screens showed a list of the substitutes as well as the starting lineups.

Less advertising around the ground on the electronic screens due to no premier League sponsorship

When ever I pay for a beer anywhere I want it poured in front of me and not sitting around for twenty minutes going flat....

Re: Any ground improvements?
Noticed we had sky results on the TV screens at HT that's loads better than having to keep watching highlights of the 1st half

Re: Any ground improvements?
I didn't buy the beers, just watched on in horror from a distance as she grabbed a lifeless beer from the shelf.
I later found out it was £5.50 a pint for good measure.
Re: Any ground improvements?
Can’t hear a thing from the Tannoy in the JHL, mind you it’s been like that for years. Don’t want it louder just clearer. Also I can’t read the h/t results on the screen with the new graphics they use.

Re: Any ground improvements?
Big screens are useless now it’s just ads and live action again rather than the lineups. The one opposite the JHU is too small to read anything anywaylakedistrictclaret wrote: ↑Sun Aug 07, 2022 9:36 amI got to the ground at 2.35pm. They'd already run out of programmes.

I would add that the claret background and blue writing makes it impossible to read the half time scores, which were inaudible in Longside Upper.

That’s dearer than it is in Spain.

Re: Any ground improvements?
I think the fanzone is a great addition. No frills, but for 90% of the season it’s going to be better than standing in a car park getting wet.

Yeah, that’s like walking into a pub and saying ‘it’s alright, there’s no decent lager but they’ve got Carling”
Catpi$$. Need to get a partnership with a decent local brewery.
Re: Any ground improvements?
^^^^^^ This
Why is it so difficult to fix the PA system?
Also I didn’t realise Turf Moor had a nuclear oven for the pies.

£7.60 for a pint of Lager...will never again complain about the price of a Twix on the Turf.
Re: Any ground improvements?
Wow West Spam know how to charge. Mind you they have to pay for their new signing.

No sugar in water but it's over £3 because it's smart.Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 9:50 amThats because of the sugar tax where they have to charge more for drinks like coke.
Re: Any ground improvements?
There is warm water in the longside loos too (probably been requested by the resident columbian marching powder users to wash their faces after a short snort)

Re: Any ground improvements?
Does anyone know why they put a little fence up after the match outside the corner of the Jimmy Mac and the Longside? It was in everyone's way which to me seems like a bad thing.
There was a man being very mean to a steward about it and I think he was right although he didn't need to swear so much

I've recently switched from Lebara (Vodaphone) to Lyca (O2), i couldn't use the internet at all on Saturday.
Re: Any ground improvements?
Giff Gaff mobile (runs on O2 network) with no signal whatsoever, I sit just in front of the media in the longside and I think they had working phones, I’ll have to ask what network they are on!
