Coady to Everton - FFP

Post by Milltown1882 » Sun Aug 07, 2022 4:43 pm

Seems Wolves have bowed down to Everton buying players on Klarna and Coady is off there on a loan with an obligation to buy. Interesting that that’s the same way they were trying to buy Cornet.

How does this work with FFP etc? Just seems unethical on the face of it that they’re allowed to majorly overspend then manipulate the rules but keep bringing players in.

This is the Premier League and they are part of the In-Crowd. Unethical to us. What's the problem? To them!

Coady loan move his been completed today, and they've also shelled out £33m on a Belgium midfielder from Lille, so much for them being brassic.

It is a new financial year - expect them to sell a key player next summer before the account end date of June 30 2023 - favourites being Anthony Gordon and Calvert Lewin

It is a risky strategy if those players lose form/pick up serious injuries

It’s a risky strategy expecting Calvert Lewin’s value to go anywhere other than south. It’ll take a serious turnaround for his value to increase.

So Collins replaced Coady, who moves to pair up with Tarks.

I would have thought replacing Richarlison would have been their priority. Loaded with CBs.

Very risky. Especially as the players they buy tend to be already established so the chances of them significantly improving in terms of value is limited. They deserve to go down the way they have wasted money in recent years.

FFP is a UEFA financial requirement so only applies to clubs playing in UEFA competitions. The PL club finance rules are less burdensome and allow owners to cover any debt incurred up to £105m over any given three-season period. So Everton could spend as much as they wanted providing they don’t have over £105m of debt over the three year period and should the need arise, they can sell players to bring the debt to a level that is permitted to be covered by the owner. If they get into Europe though then the rules are stricter.

Working the system well, arent they..
Always been OK with Everton, historically, despite Dobo.
But seems theyve become a real Shyster Club these last few years.
Got to the stage I'd really love to see thsm relegated.

Would love so much for everton to get relegated and go pop. Sound's "salty" (as they would say) but honestly i'd love it like a Magners in a frozen glass with loads of ice on a red hot summers day. Can't stand them. 1 relegation and they are in real trouble, 2 and they are well in the mud if not done. Really arrogant set of fans.

With no Richarldson I don't know who is going to bag the goals for Everton it certainly won't be O'Neil.

Wolves getting rid of Coady could be a big mistake if the new system they are to play doesn't work out.
I am not 100% convinced with Collins due to his age and inexperience he has plenty of mistakes in him and If things aren't going well the fans will be on his back

I think both Everton and Wolves are in for a tough season especially Wolves
