Weren’t they in a bit of bother when they sponsored Norwich back in the day?

Re: BK8 new sponsor
I assume this now means all the adult replica training gear in the club shop will be adorned with their logo - I bought a top on Saturday, theorising that there was clearly a gap for a sponsor on all that clobber and wanted to take advantage of it without something like this happening.

Re: BK8 new sponsor
I never imagined things would get quite so desperate that all standards the club and it's owners have committed themselves to would be thrown away for what is likely to be such a little amount of money
What on earth mots Burnley FC Women think

BK8 have attracted criticism for promoting their company using scantily-clad women...writes The Sun.Chester Perry wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 10:12 pmI never imagined things would get quite so desperate that all standards the club and it's owners have committed themselves to would be thrown away for what is likely to be such a little amount of money

Re: BK8 new sponsor
So we’ve moved away from our main sponsor being a gambling company but now have SpreadEx as the UK betting partner and BK8 as the global one?

Re: BK8 new sponsor
Maybe Burnley FC women are pretty ambivalent about a relatively minor sponsorship deal with a company who went ahead with an ill advised marketing campaign a few years ago. They’ve just announced ex England women captain Faye White as an ambassador, so it looks like they’re looking to move on from it and make positive amends. Bit of a storm in a teacup.

Re: BK8 new sponsor
Noticed it’s now all over the training kit that the team is wearing
Are they selling the training kit with or without the sponsor on it?
Thinking of getting some of the T-shirts but not going to bother if it has the sponsor on

Re: BK8 new sponsor
I was in the club shop before the Blackpool game and the training gear didn't have the sponsor on then. I doubt they will re-manufacture at this stage. I can't see the company being that bothered as long as they get their shots of the players warming up in the sponsored version.

Have to say that I clicked on the link to the Sun article and enjoyed looking at the content. So I can hardly criticise without being a hypocrite! Have things become so Cromwellian that we can't enjoy looking at attractive females (or males) in advertising anymore? Does everything have to be so bland so as not to offend anyone?

Not really. I'm fairly moderate generally but there is a limit. Lot of hypocrisy involved in these discussions. Everyone pretending to be disgusted but how many had a cheeky look anyway?

Re: BK8 new sponsor
Just remember that anything Pace says should be taken with a grain of salt.
Anything he will do will be looking to maximise profits and leverage - no chance on Gods Green Earth that he opted for ‘classic football shirts’ over a betting firm for moral reasons…. But as soon it was purported he’d run with it of course
