The children's author best known for Fungus the Bogeyman, The Snowman, and When the Wind Blows has died aged 88.

Slightly off topic but There used to be duo that played in the Bay Horse at Worsthorne a fee years ago called fungus & thr bogeyman.

When the Wind Blows scared the crap out of me when I was younger. The Snowman is an absolute classic.
