Dennis and Sarr
Leeds verbal agreement to sign Sarr and Forest are pushing to sign Dennis.
Could be excellent news for us for Friday.

Re: Dennis and Sarr
Watford losing the pair of them would not only be massive for Friday but for the season. They will be nowhere near as strong without them two.
Also United after Max Aaron’s from Norwich would be great for us if that happened he’s a class player, especially at this level.

Personally think Aaron’s is very weak defensively and not good enough going forward. Very shocked if United want him & a sign of how far they’ve fallen imo. But he is an asset at this level. Just hope they don’t use the money to strengthen significantly in other areas.
I would say our early sales and replacement is very good for us compared to Norwich/Watford. Hopefully the later sales will destabilise them a bit.

Who is this Max Aaron’s? I guess he’s good at possession.

Dennis didn’t look like he wanted to be there on Monday.

Wow! Are Dennis & Sarr two different people....someone has Dennis Sarr to score the first goal in the Championship prediction league in our game with Watford on Friday.

Re: Dennis and Sarr
Forest and Leeds have suddenly both gone up in my estimations tenfold, if Watford lose those 2 they'll suddenly have a bang average squad even by Championship standards, and even if both don't leave by Friday, surely they wouldn't be risked ahead of a major transfer.
Only wish I'd held off on my prediction now, never mind better for us if they aren't available on Friday.
Shows that we might actually have pulled a masterstroke by getting most if not all of our major outgoings done early in the window.

Re: Dennis and Sarr
I'd agree that Aaron's is very weak defensively, I don't see why he gets the headlines he does, but I'm not shocked Utd are after him. After all they have a history of dross.NewClaret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 5:43 pmAgree on Sarr & Dennis.

Even if both were to play, surely they won’t be in the right frame of mind and wanting to risk getting injured if moves are on the horizon.

Logically though if deals are imminent then Watford would be absolutely crazy to risk playing them in case they picked up an injury.
Could cost them millions

Re: Dennis and Sarr
This could be amazing news. Watford with Pedro, Sarr and Denis are in the top 3 no doubt. Without them you can put a 1 infront of the 3. Let's hope they aren't risked against us tomorrow. Would hope that the players have expressed their interest to leave and 'aren't in the right frame of mind.'
Re: Dennis and Sarr
Surely anybody who's been bidded for - wont be playing (as did Cornet/McNeil etc)

Re: Dennis and Sarr
Wouldn’t be so sure. Said a few weeks ago that I found it odd that Watford were opening the season so heavily reliant on players they probably wouldn’t have by September. They may well continue to play them until the deal is done.
Losing strong players is always tricky, but if you’ve basically built your approach around their attributes, it’s got to be a major problem.

Re: Dennis and Sarr
Serves them well for the 1/2 games they potentially have left whilst they are here but the rest of the season doesn't bode well if they go about it like that.agreenwood wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 10:45 amWouldn’t be so sure. Re: Dennis and Sarr
The players might play, but they won’t give a **** - that’s the difference.
Do you really think Sarr, Dennis and Pedro will compete to their maximum in any challenges when a potential double/triple their money offer to the Premier League is being worked through?

Re: Dennis and Sarr
Sarr seemed to make an effort against WBA but Dennis was hardly noticeable and was substituted.

Sarr not as close to an exit as the initial reports said according to Fabrizio.

we should put in a 60 million bid for all three and pull the plug on Saturday morning
Re: Dennis and Sarr
Dennis to Forest almost done for 22m it seems. No chance he’s in the team tomorrow. Boost for us for sure.

Am I the only one that would like them to play to test our defence out?
We need to know if they're good enough before the window shuts.

Why don’t we just make up something about Covid on Friday morning and then play them once the window has shut and they have weakened their side?

Our defence will be tested plenty of times, could do with smashing another title contender nice and early.

Re: Dennis and Sarr
looking at the Watford forums they fully expect Sarr to play, Romano says there is no agreement with Leeds for him at all
Re: Dennis and Sarr
Yeah he will play but they don't reckon he's any good as a striker in a 2 up top.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 6:25 pmlooking at the Watford forums they fully expect Sarr to play, Romano says there is no agreement with Leeds for him at all
Must say the news of Dennis leaving has made me feel quite confident of a result.

It would appear so yes, anything which weakens Watford has to be good news for us, not only for tomorrow, but also for the rest of the season.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 5:47 pmAm I the only one that would like them to play to test our defence out?

Re: Dennis and Sarr
Also, am surprised there hasn't been any serious interest in Ben Brereton Díaz at Rovers, apart from a few rumours.

Re: Dennis and Sarr
Yes, makes you wonder what is known about him within football that isn’t obvious to the casual observer of highlights. I think I heard mention Forest were still sniffing earlier this week.
Re: Dennis and Sarr
Athletic reporting Dennis to Forest is pretty much a done deal.
Re: Dennis and Sarr
Not to derail the thread but with Ben Brereton Diaz I assume it's his contract situation - won't he be on a free next summer? Obviously there's a chance teams could try get him cheap this year but Rovers would probably want £20m+ for him and that's still huge money for a Champo player.
