Tara curries are ok, their naan breads are absolutely shocking. Used to be good when they made their own in the tandoor, but they buy them in pre made now, and that’s why I don’t use the place anymore. Might as well get one form Asda.

This. Last few times I've had a Kebab from there, I've ended up needing knife and fork - the naan just breaks apart. It's a shame because the actual filling is my favorite around.

Burnley Oriental - Chinese
Mansha - Kebab/Samosa (Chicken Kebab exceptional)
Serranos - Pizza

I’ve thought about stopping off there when coming back from the ground parking or I should I say lack of puts me off it’s positioned at a busy thoroughfare with the roundabouts & traffic college, I guess if you live local it’s not a problem with delivery or park at Homebase/BM & get across.

There's no decent F&C shop in the town where I live but that would be my only takeaway of choice. Ive lived here for 25 years now & never had a delivered takeaway of any description. In my early (younger/out-with-the-lads) days here, I did pick up the odd kebab from a stall I passed on the way home and enjoyed that on my walk but there's nothing that tempts me away from knocking up something for myself in my own kitchen.

I'm amazed by the number of Deliveroo cyclists I see zooming around the town in the evenings, especially Fridays/Saturdays.

I enjoy sociable restaurants meals out though.

Not a recommendation because I’ve never been, but a colleague travels from Blackburn to Burnley to go to his recommended Thai takeaway.

It’s at the top of Padiham road set back on the raised bit as you go towards Gannow Top roundabout.

Anybody else been?

You'd be even more amazed at how much money some of these cyclists can make doing that job.

Another vote for Tulsi for a kebab. They're delicious and enormous. I have a big appetite and I struggle to finish.

Don't often get a takeaway curry but when I do I use Premier Curries on Colne Road. Pricey but very good.

I've been using Prontos for pizza for years, but anecdotally I believe they've gone downhill. I want to try Village Pizza on Yorkshire Street at some point as I've heard good things.

I've not tried it myself yet, but echoing a poster above I believe Urban Burrito is meant to be banging!

My 'go to' takeaway is Dixy Chicken though. I KNOW it is shite, and I still can't get enough. Rolo wrap meal with extra nuggets, doused in the little tubs of spicy mayo they send. Heaven.

What the world needs is more Vietnamese places, greatest food in the world.

And if I fancy pizza I have a wood fired pizza oven and make something like this

I’ve been. It’s absolutely fantastic. I get a pad Thai curry from there. Cheap as well,

Serrano's pizzas are excellent, also William's Lounge-Bar have a Pizza trailer which parks up near us on a Tuesday evening, also very good !!

Reet like the Ginger and spring onions from there (King Prawn or Chicken), Special Kung Po, and the Special Chow Mein.

Just rung them, closed until next Tuesday ....great lol

Jaipur in Padiham for Indian, surprisingly good
Tulsi/Pipasha for kebab
Chinese - haven't found any that I'd say is more than average
Pizza - Pronto's is ok

Nay, not having much good fortune are you.

When I lived near Duke Bar in the early 1980’s, Enzo’s was the takeaway of choice after a night out around Duke Bar and Briercliffe Road. However, there was less choice then. Holloways chippy on Briercliffe Road was also very good.
I suppose with the demise of the pub trade a lot of takeaway meals are now purchased and eaten at normal mealtimes and not on the way home from the boozer as we did in the good old days.

The Saturday/Sunday mornings just aren’t the same frantically looking for the stain devil to remove kebab chilli sauce from your best Ben Sherman shirt.

We have got a decent Turkish kebab shop here in Shrewsbury called Efe’s. However, if you slop the hot chilli sauce on your best shirt Stain Devil won’t touch it. You just have to throw the shirt away, the stuff is like brake fluid.

Yes it's decent, however only opens 4 days a week, closes at 8ish, and doesn't deliver, which when your sat there several beers deep, or you're just thinking at 9pm I'll order something to eat, you're knackered

But suppose if its doing enough trade in the day, 4 days a week snd no need to deliver it must be doing something right.

Keeping the turnover below the VAT threshold i would guess....

For a town lacking in Thai eateries, Yui's is a welcome addition. Try the spicy herb dish. Hot !

For an Indian, Hawali in Padiham is much improved and offers a good meal deal on Thursday and Sundays.

Tara in the Grove is still good.

PK's in Padiham does a reasonable Kebab.

I had the Deacon Brody wrap from Kenanks a few weeks ago, not my normal takeaway food but it was absolutely top notch. Packed full of meat and stayed in shape until the last bite.
