Kangaroo’s

Post by Penwortham_Claret » Wed Aug 10, 2022 10:28 pm

Crazy fact that in Australia there are 48 million kangaroos and in Uruguay there are 3,457,380 inhabitants. So if the kangaroos decide to invade Uruguay, each Uruguayan will have to fight 14 kangaroos.

We should be focusing on the clear and present kangaroo danger.

Macquarie the Australian bank that has advanced our club monies in both the Chris Wood and Nick Pope Transfers (possibly others in the works - is my speculation) is known in and around the City of London as the Vampire Kangaroo for it's habit of buying companies and selling off parts for profit - you may be amazed and just how much they own in the UK

Marsupial Mammals, of which the Kangaroo is one, originated, in evolutionary terms, in South America. Some marsupials still live there.

Maybe there's a secret Kangaroo unit in Uruguay already, waiting to call their Australian colleagues to jump in at any moment.

Three observations from your OP:

Kangaroos are rarely seen during the day as it’s too hot in Australia for 6 months in the year. So presuming Uruguay is hot also the inhabitants should be relatively safe during the day for so many months a year.

The male Kangaroos are almost twice the size of the female kangaroos and are very powerful so you don’t want to be fighting those.

You had obviously partaken in a few sherbets prior to posting this

There are wallabies breeding in the chiltern hills near Hewenden due to some toff that released them into the wild. My daughter thought she was hallucinating when she saw one when she was on a walk

There's only c 1.5 million more people in NZ than Uruguay, wouldn't the kangaroos be better off invading there? They could (figuratively) hop across via Tasmania or New Caledonia. It's a bloomin long way across the South Atlantic to S America, then they'd have to get across Chile and Argentina (and the Andes of course).
New Zealand's possibly a bit hilly for kangaroos though I guess.

You make some good points although I'm not convinced about the temperature argument.

Let's assume that only male kangaroos are used in this operation (to invade Uruguay) (the females anyway should stay at home and look after the joeys). So that would mean around 24 million male Roos - that's still 7:1 in their favour. I'm not sure that number would be needed anyway as Uruguay seems a pretty stable country for a South American one and was neutral during WW2.

Transport is obviously a concern but there is evidence above that Kangaroos can fly. I'm sure they can go by sea too. They could seek help from the Duck Billed Platypus. Whilst they are not marsupials they are a bit of a rebel in mammalian circles, what with laying eggs and all that.

THE female roo raises its young in its pouch where there are four teets the consistency of the milk varies from each teet to give the joey the correct nutrients at the correct stage of its development.
There may be two joeys in the pouch at different stage of development getting different kinds of milk. Now UTC followers marvel at that.
Maybe why a brand of powdered milk is called Marvel. Isnt Mother nature amazing?

Kangaroos can halt gestation until there is a suitable food source. This means that there is a massive population explosion after a drought ends which leads to the destruction of habitat and sets up conditions for the next drought.

Yes the unborn joey is in a state of hibernation until the time is ripe when it develops its front legs to enable it to crawl into Mum's pouch and start to feed and grow. Marvellous!!

Kangaroos cannot move backwards but do have a way of communicating to humans to inform them of children who are trapped in mines.
