‘Three games’ if anybody was taking the spread bet as to how long BOYSIE would actually be positive for.
I stopped paying attention to boysie a while ago, although I have to thank him for the nearly to Pro v1 golf ball with Boysie1882 printed on it , which I found!

Strange take. It’s not exactly an out there suggestion to say Dyche would be getting more out of this team
What? Apart from he would never have signed most of them?

When we came down last time under Dyche, we put in some truely awful performances in the first half of that season. A lot lot lot worse than that.
We had two draws and a loss in our first three games that season
Our form was patchy until January and then we went on that run.

What a bizarre comment given that Dyche would probably have never had a jot of signing these players…..why don’t you give up and go support the Saudis….

Dyche wouldn't have had this team. It would be vastly different. Can't compare what wouldn't have been.

If I remember rightly, we got hammered by Hull, then went 23 unbeaten, and the rest is history!

Benson showed every full back in league tonight what to do, stick one on him first 5min and he will go quiet.

Last half hour of second half we bossed it with us going more direct with pace and width, on another day brownhills one of the bar goes in

You realise this is a work in progress?

You realise we’ve basically lost a whole team and brought a new one in?

Get back to playing Football Manager ffs.

Think we expected Watford to go 3 at the back, hence why dropping cork thinking cullen could cope but first half sacrificed Brownhill going forward

We passed it around the defence for 90 mins and offered nothing going forward.

Really! Stats don't lie - 11 efforts, 4 on target.

I've been watching Burnley for over 60 years and I've not been so pleased with the standard of football for quite a while. Tonight was Premier team v championship team football. And who were the Premier team? I rest my case. PS just my opinion.

My point was it's a bit of a useless stat looking forward when we will be 11v11 most games.
We can say we were unlucky but we can't say 'keep that up and we'll win'. Because it's an anomaly.

Surely it’s a natural comparison? Talking about the performance of our new manager in comparison to our previous?
The more natural comparison would be Dyche’s first season with us to Kompany’s, this season (appreciating that Dyche was part way through, so not like for like).

Benson might as well have stayed in bed and I couldn’t tella whether anyone had replaced him tbh. Costello was an accident that happened a game too far. Apart from that we did great.

We'll get there. It's frustrating right now, but all the signs are positive. Once we find that attacking impetus I think we will tear some teams apart. No point having a meltdown now, the majority of the squad have only been together a few weeks and despite that I think Watford know they have their keeper to thank for their 3 points.

I am not sure Watford will be up their come the end of the season, but if we keep building the way we are I think we will.

Dyche’s record in his first season was won 11 draw 11 loss 11.
Kompany’s record is exactly the same 1,1,1

Disappointed but can see some promising signs. Should have had at least a point, they offered nothing 2nd half and we were unlucky.
I'm not sure with Taylor at LCB, think he's too slow in possession.
Cullen needs to switch on against the faster press of the championship.
Cork must start if available.
Cynical play by Watford, two deliberate swipes against Benson in the first few minutes by different players to force him into his shell with minimal risk of a card.
They stole 10 plus yards for their throw that led to the goal.
Ref was very weak and let too much go on both sides but the balance fell to Watford.
Maatsen was below par with his distribution tonight.
Vitinho has start in place of costelloe for me to give us a different threat.

I see the 'asset stripping brigade' have crawled out tonight at the first opportunity....

Where we need to improve is against teams which stick tight to players and pressure all game by the looks of things. We're still a work in progress obviously and we got better as the game went on and managed to slip a few passes through which we struggled with in the first 45. Very early days but we'll come good soon

Don’t know why the mass panic with fans after last night, we was only a couple of inches away from drawing that game and fans would of said that was a great result, some nights it just doesn’t fall your way.

We do however need another striker and CB go lead the defence
