500+ Burnley programmes

Post by Lakester_2022 » Mon Aug 15, 2022 1:04 pm

Hi everybody. I have approx 500 Burnley programmes, excellent condition [home + away]. Dates range from 1950 to mid-90s. Happy to let them go for a donation to a local charity. Anybody any ideas where best to let folk know about these? Do people even collect programmes anymore?

They certainly do, I have a bloke who calls regularly on my parents, trying to get them to talk me into selling my collection. There are a few collectors on here… I expect one or two will be along soon to discuss it.

Cheers, thanks for that....be nice to find a new home. 3 generations of collectors. Mostly 1960 - 67 and I'm sure somewhere in all those boxes is the Orient programme autographed by Ian Britton.

Or should I say most programmes from 1960 - 67 home games seem to be there...

Lakester. Not saying it's the same poster. But that's a ClaretsMad/UpTheClarets blast from the past.

I am not a programme collector, as such, but have accumulated many Burnley programmes, not a full set by any means, mainly from the late 1970s onwards. So although there would probably be some overlap, the ones from the 1960s era, especially, would certainly be of interest to me.

What sort of donation would you consider to be appropriate?

Looking for programmes to replace some damaged one - would be very interested in programmes pre 1970.

As regards a donation, I have no idea how much programmes are worth so I'd just say generous to the point that the charity benefits and the buyer has acquired the programmes for a very reasonable price. Am I permitted to name my charity on here? Can I put an email address on here to see if I have what folk are looking for?

And yeah, Pickles, same Lakester.
