knuckle-scraper in this video

who's the Peter Kay look-alike in this video? Black Adidas t-shirt, finished with a rather fetching cream-colored understated explorer tunic.

Probably part of the 200 plus group involved in a mass fight at the train station at 11pm

I’d love the stewards not to hold him back and to have a wander over. I wonder what he thinks he’s going to do.

Football “lads” have got to be the cringiest, most horrible little scrotes on the planet.

Pyrotechnics, cheap coke, naff suede adidas trainers with a name of the city on the side and dodgy haircuts giving it the big man act.

Nope, it’s pretty pathetic. Don’t think anyones getting worked up over it by pointing out it’s pathetic.

I watched that expecting to see some extreme violence given the reaction of some. The lad's being a bit of a d*ck but it's hardly the crime of the century.

Is it the fat lad trying to cross the divide at full time? I've watched it twice and that's the only thing I can see that may be knuckle scraping?
And if so, then it's hardly knuckle scraping. Maybe a bit silly? But not enough to hang him for, or draw attention to it on social media.

Yes milud. I was struggling with over exuberance and when the final whistle blew, a thousand Watford fans waved to me. It was obvious they had spotted my new jacket. I felt compelled to hug them and leapt forward, through a line of stewards, in that moment full of affection, for kindred spirits.

A lot is written on this forum about football hooligans and also a lot of name calling…but wait…is that the sound of hypocrisy I hear? Judging by the average age on here I wouldn’t mind betting that a lot of our esteemed members got into a few ‘scrapes’ back in the late sixties and seventies. I know I did as a daft teenager. I suppose all the condemnation comes from the deafening sound of political correctness these days.
Of course it’s wrong, we all know it and we knew it at the time, but who are we to criticise those doing what many of us did (and sometimes even worse).

I've never been involved in violence or violent posturing at the football, so I guess that puts me in the clear to say that the behaviour in the video is utterly pathetic and that going to a football match and fighting people because they support a different football team is utterly moronic.

It's all very well saying we shouldn't judge our fellow fans but it's pathetic behaviour like this (and the much worse violence which used to occur at football) that has led to decades treating all football fans, even those of us who are capable of not trying to fight strangers, like mud. Behaviour like this is how they justify herding us like cattle to Ewood.

Pathetic and as with the above quoted post and the people who were getting upset about criticism in the thread about cocaine, it's hard to think of any motive to justify this behaviour other than brazen self-interest.

I completely agree with the condemnation of cocaine, drugs ruin famillies and lives. dealers should do life in prison as far as I am concerned. Body shaming is also quite pathetic, no matter what somebody is doing. One video of something that happens at most matches and yet again our fans are knuckle draggers. Nothing stranger than Burnley fans.

That anyone thinks that kind of behaviour is in any way acceptable (whether or not it used to be worse back in the day) is so depressing.

And remarkably I've managed to go to 80+ grounds over 40 years without once behaving like that so feel pretty comfortable in criticising.

Young lads from Watford taunting Burnley fans after they beat us. Burnley fan responds by making a show of being ready to 'take them on' (without actually doing anything) - I mean, ok, whatever, most of us wouldn't, but its hardly hooliganism is it?

No self-interest DA and not trying to justify it. I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy of many. I don’t believe that people who have done questionable things in the past have a right to point fingers and call names at those who do the same as they did. I applaud your non violent stance and share your views but I cannot bring myself to condemn those who do the same bad things I did. Thankfully those days are long gone for me and when I see such things now I just take a deep breath and think ‘did I really do that’?
For many it’s just part of growing up.

Out of the last 3 away games I've been to;
-One of my party has been started on by one of our own fans for not 'getting behind the team'
-Someone sat next to me was called an 'earring ******' by one of our own fans for absolutely nothing
-An aggressive meathead has walked up the steps berating everyone for not singing, and when he received a minor heckle he threatened to 'knock the c*nt out'
-Someone threw a coin into the opposition crowd which appeared to hit a child

I don't know how our fans compare to others, because I don't sit/stand among opposition fans. But among our fans we have some absolute dregs of society, and to be honest it puts me off attending away games. I'm no shrinking violet but I find there is often a volatile atmosphere which is made worse by the booze and in particular cocaine. So yes, I would say that a minority our fans are that bad unfortunately.

So Adidas trainers now are unacceptable for wearing to football matches.Personally |I think old fat bald guys in football shirts are far less appealing.

Riley, someone will be along in a moment to tell you it's just bants, and that you should ditch following your club and go to the opera instead, if you can't cope with mindless yobbery.

Which ever word followed "earring" I must admit I would probably have been slightly amused had I heard someone try and abuse another fan with a comment like that :D

It was a light hearted comment but Stewart Lee used to do a bit of a routine about the ridiculous misuse and overuse of the term political correctness especially by the older generation. I thought your view that political correctness was in someway linked to the views on this thread was pretty laughable and reminded me of that routine. His Nan was the protagonist of this routine hence my comment.

Its a bit since I've heard someone going on about political correctness as that word has seemed to be replaced by the new culture war terms of woke and cancel culture. Its good to see that you've stayed true to the original term and are not succumbing to political correctness or wokeness in using these new fangled words so well done

Which ever word followed "earring" I must admit I would probably have been slightly amused had I heard someone try and abuse another fan with a comment like that :D
It was earring w@nker. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a funny insult. But he was a youngish lad stood next to me who didn’t have your generic football fan appearance, completely minding his own business. Yet he was abused for his appearance by a drongo because he wasn’t singing.

There’s at least 5 topics added in the last week all about our terrible fans, I’d be amazed if you see that on any other clubs board.
I’m not condoning the behaviour and personally stopped all the two fingers and wide arms crap at away fans when I was in my teens, but surely we aren’t that bad are we?
Not at all, it's lads being lads at the football. Goading each other which happens at every ground in the UK. But because it's Burnley we are knuckle dragger and thugs. Our fans are extremely quick to condemn or own. I'm not saying we are whiter than white but we aren't what some say we are.

Personally I think this type of behaviour should be ridiculed for what it is... stupid!

Some poor mite thinking he's bloody Tyson Fury and wanting to take on the fans of the other team. My approach to this would be to let him get across and see what he actually does... most likely to get most of the way across then crap his CK pants and desperately try to get back to his mates from the "no mans land" area. Obviously this could never happen as it would get someone hurt.

It was a light hearted comment but Stewart Lee used to do a bit of a routine about the ridiculous misuse and overuse of the term political correctness especially by the older generation. I thought your view that political correctness was in someway linked to the views on this thread was pretty laughable and reminded me of that routine. Cheers DA. I genuinely was at a loss there. Woke for me is something I did this morning and f*ck knows what cancel culture is. What I have found is that the terms seem to change fairly regularly for whatever reason, can you remember when it was known as positive discrimination (a contradiction in terms if ever there was one)? Either way a rose by any other name as they say.
I’m glad you found some humour, however unintentional, all the very best to you bud.

I don't think our fans are necessarily any worse than other fans. The Watford fans in the video are clearly just as bad as the Burnley fans in it.

It shouldn't be too difficult to figure out why people on here are more interested in Burnley fans' behaviour than any other club's.

I get why they are more interested in our fans, but they are finding fault over next to nothing at times, even complaining that they doing to fast.
