Musical Instruments and Equipment stolen from a car by Royal Dyche last night
Hi all, our kid runs the jam night at the Dyche, and left his car there with a lot of the gear overnight.
Some scrote has bricked his care and nicked several items from his car including:
PA
Guitars
Cymbals
Amp
Drums
(More specifics to follow but thought it would be good to get an initial heads up out there at least)

At least there should be plenty of CCTV in the area.
Good luck getting it back.

Sorry to hear - seems to be a lot of musical instrument theft of late,
Make them too hot to handle, they’ll eventually turn up on FB marketplace or a sellers group on FB
There are lots of groups on there that will share any posts that you put about the equipment that’s gone missing..
Serial number/make/model/colour and any pictures would be a big help

W@nkers.
My guess is it was someone who was inside and knew he left his stuff overnight.

I’d find out who sells stone up Burnley Wood, no doubt they have been offered the equipment.
Re: Musical Instruments and Equipment stolen from a car by Royal Dyche last night
Hopefully some of the regulars in the pub will put their feelers out and the scrote will be made to see the error of their ways and the equipment will turn up.

Probably unrelated, but at about 10 oclock this morning I was driving under the culvert and someone appeared to run out of the Dyche, crossed the road and jumped into a taxi, pursued by someone who dragged him out onto the pavement and appeared to be having a word with him.

Know several local bands so I’ll ask them to keep their ears to the ground… so if it was ‘The Jam’ rather than a night of ‘jamming’ they may be targets for the sales of the equipment… The Reaction, The Itch and Pretty Green are the three most local from memory, all are long standing friends: I’ll put the word out.ŽižkovClaret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 9:58 amHi all, our kid runs the jam night at the Dyche, and left his car there with a lot of the gear overnight.

An update:dushanbe wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 12:40 pmProbably unrelated, but at about 10 oclock this morning I was driving under the culvert and someone appeared to run out of the Dyche, crossed the road and jumped into a taxi, pursued by someone who dragged him out onto the pavement and appeared to be having a word with him.
So at 8:30 this morning I recieved a call from Justine landlady of The Royal Dyche advising me that my car had been broken into smashed windows the lot and all my drums and amps etc had been stolen.
Went down to deal with the fall out and reported it to the police.
5 Mins later Moya noticed a young heroin enthusiast packing said gear into a taxi across the road from the scene
So I ran across the road faster than an avacorumbian sea hawk and flattened him (with reasonable force) and let him know I was a very very unhappy mulletman. He then tried to make off and was attempting to assault me so I flattened him again with a short scuffle in the middle of the road on Yorkshire Street after which he started spitting in my face, biting me and reaching in his pocket for a needle to stab me with. While all this is happening he some how tried to nick my wallet which I saw was inside his joggers . After handing him over to the old bill the attending officer and I proceeded to find most of the gear stashed and dotted around the top of the culvert as he said his mate stashed it all. All the gear bar my in ear monitors has been recovered with the help of Moya, Justine and Tony at the Prinny and the assailant is now in custody after recently being released from Prison.
Gear back! and ive helped put a scruffy little turd handling bag rat back behind bars! I feel heroic! The officer asked if id ever considered a job on the force
Thanks for the messages people! Thank you Rob Forbes for alerting us and thank you Moya and Justine for helping us track the gear down!
anyone got a number for Autoglass???

Scrote. Sadly he'll probably get away with a slap on the wrist, but it's a warning to your bro to not leave his stuff in his car overnight - especially if on view. It only takes someone like that to figure out a regular night somewhere and try their luck. Btw what type of music does he play? It's ages since I've played but fancy getting back into it

He can play all sorts tbf. Best bet is to turn up on a Wednesday at the Royal Dyche for the jam nights or if you fancy some drum lessons he can sort you out.Belial wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 1:28 pmScrote. Unbelievable, so it was related. Had I known and not been in the car, I'd have joined in
To be fair, if he needs any evidence I've probably got some of it on dashcam. I didn't see him throw any punches, just dragged him expertly out of the back of the taxi and was remonstrating verbally quite forcefully with the guy on the floor.

This is the problem. Prison and follow up on release doesn’t rehabilitate offenders. It’s not working.
Sadly this guy will just do something similar to this again on his next release from HMP.

The spitting, biting and reaching for a needle(if proveable) should be more serious offences than the theft and definitely should be on the charge sheet.
Glad it’s all home. I love a happy ending.

A lot of them probably don't mind being inside. A roof over your head, 3 meals a day, no trouble getting hold of drugs etc.

Well done for recovering your equipment, - This is a similar crime to stealing a trademans tools, not only are you nicking stuff, but depriving someone of earning a living.
For me , depending where the gig is usually dictates what gear I take with me.

Send him on a free holiday? Maybe give him double benefits and free hits of whatever his poison is? Maybe a hug would do the job?
Prison isn't solely about rehabilition. It is also about punishment and keeping him away from the law-abiding public.
It's his life. I'm happy to see him locked up on a regular basis until he decides to do something much better with his life.

Re: Musical Instruments and Equipment stolen from a car by Royal Dyche last night
Glad he’s got his gear back. To be honest, despite the potentially dodgy altercation, this is the best outcome you could have had. CCTV wouldnt have been any good, judging from the absolute quality CCTV I sent to the police when my car was screwed. Inconclusive they said, despite the full frontal facial view of the scrote, staring up at the camera wondering whether it was working….even after I’d given them the name.
I hope he was suitably “robust” with the little smackhead.

Re: Musical Instruments and Equipment stolen from a car by Royal Dyche last night
Glad he got the stuff back even if it sounds like a blag.
I was out for a meal and drink with my wife a few Fridays back, ended up in the LOOM makers where two lads I didn't know where playing. They were excellent, rolling from rock to dance tunes at a good tempo, my wife wanted their details for possibly birthday functions and they provided them.
Saw the two lads walking into Beatherder festival, had to go over and tell them how good they were! I believe they entered the talent comp at the festival's "Working Man's club" and won, getting a spot to play on the main stage as a surprise.
Turns out it's your kid?!

So glad he's got his gear back. Let's hope the scroat gets more than a couple of months inside. More like a couple of years or preferable more, but I wouldn't hold my breath. At least it will keep him off the streets for a while, if nothing else. Sick of crime, yobbery and antisocial behaviour blighting the lives of good people.
You might already do this, but always photo all the gear and serial numbers, then you can also let the retailers of second hand goods, like Cash Converters etc, know if something like this happens again.

BTW: Have I got this right - he had the stolen gear in a local taxi? These taxi drivers know who the thieving smackheads are and would have been fully that the stuff was stolen. Report them to the council - they are the licensing authority.
They might send the Licensing Officer round to remind the owners of their responsibilities to the wider community. Councils can make life difficult for taxi companies if they so choose to. Also, I hope one of our local councillors reads these posts. Some of them are season ticket holders, and a couple of them read this forum from time to time, or at least they used to.

These junkies have no concept of what thus stuff is worth.
I had a 2k guitar lifted (outside a gig) then sold to a second hand shop for £50.
I had to pay the bloody shop £50 to retrieve it.

Annoyingly on our taxes, this scroat will get legal aid to plead how he is reformed and won't do it again, a nice comfortable cell,on release housing benefit and numerous freebies.
