First two episodes now up on Disney+

Very interesting. Reynolds and Mcelhenney come across very well

Very interesting, and you can see the parallels with Sunderland Til I Die, which I believe Rob Mcelhenney watched and took influence from when deciding to buy a club.

Up to episode 8; very enjoyable watch. Funny to see how they were welcomed by the home fans at Maidenhead

Yes that was a bit odd. Felt like they were padding it out.

Phil Parkinson comes across as being a lot more softly spoken and thoughtful that i ever imagined him to be.

As a fan of both of the owners I thought that episode 7 was superb. It will be a massive hit with the American audience too which is the aim of the show.

What a fantastic job they are doing there BTW.

Making a laughing stock out of a very old traditional football club.

Sad really.

They do seem a bit clueless about football in general by their own admission but they seem pretty genuine. The American one has a working class background and must see the parallels

Latest HOOLIGAN episode was an eye opener
Local thug got banned and meant his girlfriend didnt get her job she worked hard for in the police

Sad thing is its wont change. It will get worse at every club

Quite a lot of trouble at the Oldham Vs Wrexham game this weekend.
11 arrested on the day with a lot more expected.

Quick look on book face shows the lad being interviewed that was banned not even with the girl whos career he ruined anyway now and with another lass

He was about 5 stone wet through too so not sure what trouble he could actually cause

Living in Wrexham the documentary has been all positive until episode 10 about hooliganism. Why Disney+ felt the need to open Pandora's box I'll never know. Whether it was RR and RMc's choice, don't know but they are producers so they'll have had a say? They might have wanted to send a message but for now it seems to have backfired. The hilarious thing would be if the lad from the show got arrested for hooliganism by his ex, who will hopefully now be able to join the police and have the fantastic career she clearly wants.

On a side note, my girlfriend's step-dad (Welsh and a lovely bloke) was called the usual stuff by locals leaving the game out of car windows and there was a heightened police presence due to fans down back streets again etc.

Why do people genuinely use football to pick a scrap? Away games are bad enough for people coming to just goad away supporters after one too many rather than actually watching the game. Really do not understand it.

Actually thought the hooligan episode was pretty good

They did highlight that the lad couldn't watch his team play because he was a hooligan, and that is the message that needs to be got across

Like many will say, its not something I've ever understood, and living in a (to put it mildly!) a very non-Burnley supporting area for most of my life I got a lot of s**t and threats at stations and in the town for being a Burnley fan

Not the case now thankfully, partly because its no longer considered normal, and partly because we are a lot better now and there are far more Burnley fans up here than they were when I was a kid

Clearly aimed at a wider audience by the yanks to show the dark side of english football as im sure the US will see news of trouble including the weekends 11 arrests due to the owners stature and affliliation

It also highlighted that he was still getting a season ticket each year so that he would still have his seat with his mates when his ban was up.

Not sure how it works for any of our banned "fans", but you'd like to think that they wouldn't be able to purchase a ST during that time, and when that time is up, any loyalty points they had reset to 0

Yes I noticed this and found it interesting.

Really enjoying the whole series and probably only watched it as I'm a big Sunny fan.
They may not be experts on football (like all American owners) but they seem really genuine and keen to learn.

Good point, but I still think the key take away was that if you misbehave at football matches, you can't go and watch them play
