A few beers in Sowerby Bridge...

Post by Mala591 » Sat Aug 27, 2022 11:50 am

Great little town with excellent choice of real ale pubs. Imo it’s best to turn right when leaving the train station, walk up to the Navigation, then back into town alongside the Rochdale canal. My favourite pubs are

Navigation Inn
Hogs Head Brew House
The Commercial (Wetherspoons)
Hollins Mill
Puzzle Hall Inn

Although the town does have a bit of a run down feel about it, the pubs are very busy (Friday afternoon/evening) have a great atmosphere and are very friendly.

Note: if you’re travelling from Burnley by train you will need to change trains at either Hebden Bridge or Todmorden as the Blackpool to Leeds train doesn’t stop at Sowerby Bridge.
