Spending the day at Northumberland Country Zoo, I'd never heard of it, a brilliant day out. I'd recommend it to young and old, but especially the young at heart

As I mentioned we were back in Northumberland last week. Didn't know about the zoo. Where is it please?

About 10 miles north of Morpeth, just off the old A1.
I've been to Northumberland many times, and I'd never heard of it. I'm surprised as it was very good.

Thanks. My wife is from Bedlington so we know the area well. But not that well, it seems.

Oops, she's just told me she did know where it was. Ah well, next time.

I was there with my son and granddaughters a couple of weeks ago. We also really enjoyed it. We'll spaced out and sign posted so you don't miss anything and great value for money!

Hey I live a 10 minute drive from it. I've been living here since 2008 and I only heard about it a few weeks ago! I was told about it by a colleague in Newcastle when I was discussing days out (of which there are no shortage in Northumberland) with my granddaughters.

Yes, wonderful part of the country to spend a few days with family. It caters for all age ranges.

What's the name of your dog. That's how I normally remember folk. I may have got it wrong but I don't think there's many moved in at Cavil Head? I would have had Rupert with me (my daughters chocolate and white Sprocker) only 12 months old. I'm a female by the way that's probs why you don't remember me and footie wasn't mentioned! But good to know there's another Claret in our village!
Hi,my dog's called Louis, a little black maltipoo if that helps.

Just thought i would bump this thread up as I am intending to go to the Ashington vs Stocksbridge Park Steels FA Cup replay on Tuesday night 4th October KO 19.45

If any other Northumbrian based Clarets are free why not come along and let's have a meet up.

I was at Stocksbridge on Saturday and Ashington were marginally the better team in a failry dull match. The Colliers had a few players missing, however, their replacements did well although we didn't produce as much free flowing football as we have been doing.
Unfortunately, I shall miss the replay because I shall be at a music event.

Enjoy the game and let's hope for a home win!

We've been in Guide Post for the last three days but returning home later today otherwise might have joined you. Enjoy the game.
