People don't bother dragging their rubbish to the canal anymore, they just chuck it on the backstreet.
Sounds like Los Angeles!

This is a great walk - from Heptonstall (starting at the pink no 68 flag) go west toward Jack Bridge then (just before reaching Jack Bridge) turn south down to the Rochdale canal, then go east along the canal into Hebden Bridge and back up the steep hill to Heptonstall.

As an angler I wish that was the case in shallow water it's even harder as the fish get spooked easier.

Lovely photo.
Saw similar water when I visited Jasper in the 80's during my Army days. The colour and clarity of glacial water fed lakes is stunning. It was so tranquil, the sound of my camera shutter startled a duck about 300 metres away!

Just back from an adventure in the Falklands and South Georgia. 5 figure levels of photos to review and edit from the 2 week trip, to a mind blowing and hostile environment. Here's a couple of photos, the first one from Sunrise at Saunders Island in the Falklands, as Gentoo penguins head out for a day of foraging, and one from Salisbury Plain, of a lone adult King Penguin surrounded by juveniles in the rookery. 300,000 breeding pairs at Salisbury plain....

Looking back towards Malham village from the top of Malham cove.

One of my favourite walks - Malham village - south to Janet’s Foss - Gordale scar (climb up the middle of the large central rock if it’s dry enough) - Malham tarn - Malham cove - back to Malham village.

Last City break of the year. Poznan. Highly recommended but not for a couple of years. major renovations going on in City centre and most major thoroughfares. All sorts to do and see and easy walking with a good tram system, if needed.
