Think it is £23 if you order 1 and receive 1 and £28 if you order 1 and receive 4

I'm sure we could have more if needed. 1500 will be plenty.

Well yes possibly, but going off our away followings this season maybe not?

Yes Cardiff might give us more if required?

I would have thought that an additional allocation would be an option.

Have received a response from Ticket Office this morning. PNE posted early this week. Sounds like there is time for delivery, given strike interventions etc.

According to footballgroundguide, the away section holds 1800 in total, so maybe not that many more tickets to be had if needed. I'd imagine 1500 would be fine though.

It says on the ticket sales page on Burnley's website.....

"Cardiff City
The Hawthorns"

Think the ticket office staff might have their stadiums confused!

Just checked the train prices for this - nearly £90 return from Paddington to Cardiff. Priced me out of it unfortunately unless the ticket prices change in the near future.

We have paid £52 return but booked it soon as tv dates were confirmed and using the 2 together rail cards it is roughly double that now

We are on the 3 1/2 rattler from Manchester, was £45 each with a rail card so not too bad.

Ordered two this morning. Wasn't given an option for area except block 121 but not sure how many blocks 1500 tickets is so may just have that block.

It’s £66 return if you buy a single to Bristol Parkway and the same going back plus a return from Bristol parkway to Cardiff. If you go on Trainline they automatically suggest this

A railcard would get you a third off that price

That’s with your senior railcard pal!
I would have joined you on the train with my senior railcard and a few fizzers afterwards. However I am at a wedding do in Suffolk that day. It’s a pity as I like Cardiff away days.

Where do you live Longsider? I used to be a drayman and delivered beer to Cardiff and South Wales on a weekly basis. The City Arms in City centre was one of my deliveries along with the Tiny Rebel Bar across the road from it. Closer to Ninian I used to deliver to St Canna’s ale house. Great city is Cardiff.

I looked at that. What railcard gets me a third off? Network railcard doesn't give me any discount on Trainline

Can't currently buy Preston - Crewe, unless I'm missing something.

Avanti website:
"Reduced timetable
We're currently operating a reduced timetable. You may see a 'sold out' message on some dates where we've suspended ticket sales until timetables are confirmed for your travel date. We're working hard to release tickets as soon as we can."

Trainline:
"Tickets coming soon"

Depends on your age etc. I have a Two Together card that gives me discount when I travel with my wife, but there are young persons, senior cards etc. if you have any Tesco vouchers you can use them to buy a card

We booked a bit back and Avanti have reduced their timetables for sales since.

I have checked and it is only Avanti trains from Preston to Crewe, when we change at Crewe it is Welsh trains or something like that

The ones we have booked are the 07.17 Preston to Crewe then the 8.10 Crewe to Cardiff gets in at 10.54

Same journey back 18.51 Cardiff to Crewe

£11 to get me to Paddington
£52 to Bristol Parkway
£14 Bristol to Cardiff
£30 for a Network Railcard
£107 travel for 1 game plus match tickets and refreshments. I can't justify paying £150+ for 1 game.

I understand what you are saying about train prices, they are very expensive at the moment.
However if you were to buy a £30 railcard you would get a third discount on all your rail journeys for the next year.

Also the fares you quote for the trip to Cardiff would also be reduced with your railcard, eg Paddington to Bristol Parkway would then be around 34 quid return rather than 52 quid, and same with the other fares that day.

The cost of buying the railcard could well be covered by the savings you will make on that one trip alone, and as I mentioned above, you will be able to use the railcard to make savings on every train journey over the following 12 months.

Network railcard only gets you a discount on certain operators, the south east area I think.

If you're between 25 and 60 and not regularly travelling with a specific person there isn't much in the way of railcards available.

Hi. See photo it’s £43.65 return with a railcard. If you have any Tesco vouchers, you only need to use £10 of them as they are worth £30 against an annual railcard. Not arguing it’s too much or not - just adding info in case it helps others

This is what I get when I search. Using a Network Rail card which is the only one available to me and doesn't appear to discount.

Ok well between those 2 ages the only railcard type available to yourself is the "2 together card" which is obviously of no use to you if you normally travel by train alone.

So it seems we have been unable to assist with your possible trip to Cardiff. Sorry mate.

Would have thought so, as even Coventry tickets have already been sent out.

BBC website says Aslef are striking on 1st October, this will affect 12 train companies.
Hope it doesn’t affect anyone who has already bought rail tickets.
